JAY-Z To Young Fan “You Will Be President Someday”

JAY-Z is one of those timeless rappers, he has fans ranging all ages, and on Monday night one young fan got a big shutout at his concert.

The rap legend was performing at his 4:44 Tour stop in Cleveland, Ohio, when he paused to acknowledge a 9-year-old girl rocking out to his music at the front of the audience. JAY-Z is himself a father of two girls so he has that protective instinct in him already. The rapper is also known for his commentary on social on political issues affecting us, so when he told this little girl that she will be president one day, it was no surprise.

“You can be anything that you want to be in the world,” Hov told his young fan who was delighted for the shout-out. “At this very moment, America is way more sexist than they are racist. But you, young lady, you got the potential to be the next president of the United States. You believe that.”

The part of his message about sexism made some fans a little uneasy since he was talking to a 9-year-old girl. But the point of his message way overshadow any little uneasiness that what he said may have caused. Watch the video below.

JAY-Z's spontaneous conversation with a 9 year old girl:

John Legend Wife Chrissy Teigen Announced Pregnancy With Second Child

John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen are expecting their second child.

The model announced that she is pregnant in a hilarious video posted on social media on Tuesday. The short clip features the couple’s first child Luna making the big revelation. “What’s in here?” Teigen asked the big sister to be, to which she responded saying, “baby.” In an effort to clear up any speculation, not that there would be any, Chrissy Teigen says the baby belongs to John Legend.

“It’s John’s!” she captioned the video. The R&B singer then shared the Instagram post on his Twitter page where he added some baby and hearts emojis. Legend then jokingly commented on her video saying, “Maury will have the final word on this.”

John and Teigen currently have a 19-month-old baby girl named Luna who came into the world in April 2016. Earlier this year, the Lip Sync Battle host announced that the couple’s next baby will be a boy. “Since this is coming up again, I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah,” she wrote on Twitter.

PnB Rock Says Drake Is First Rapper To Add Melody To Rap

PnB Rock is crediting Drake from bringing melody to rap music and fans are reacting.

Needless to say that hip hop fans aren’t buying it, but PnB insist that the 6 God is the OG for rap melodies. He made the claim during an interview with Montreality, where he conveniently forget all the other rappers who harmonized their rap songs like Lauryn Hill, Andre 3000, Ja Rule, Nelly, Bone Thugs N’ Harmony, and many more. As a credit to PnB Rock, he did say Drake started it in his era.

“Drake n***a started that sh*t to me bro,” he said. “I don’t give a f**k what nobody say. I can’t say he started it, but in my era of time he started it. N***as was doing it before like Ja Rule did it. A lot of people was putting little melodies into they sh*t even back in the day. But he really made it to where as though you could rap and sing on some real sh*t at the same damn time.”

PnB Rock says he was in prison the first time he heard Drake rapping and singing melodies on his breakout hit “Best I Ever Had” in 2008, and his first thought was this is dope. “I remember when I first heard it, it was like 2008,” he said. “I was locked up… I was in placement [at] Vision Quest. “Best I Ever Had” came on the radio and I was like, ‘Bruh, who the f**k is this n***a, bruh?’ I’m like, this n***a is the most fire sh*t I ever heard.”

While Drake is a hugely talented artist who is great at blending rap and R&B, he is certainly not the pioneer of that musical art form. A lot of artists before him did it and did it well also.

Bro @drake & @pnbrock NEED TO MAKE FIRE TOGETHER ???? PLEASEEEEEEEEEE

Dancehall Artists Reacts To Ninjaman Murder Conviction

The local dancehall fraternity has been reacting to Ninjaman murder conviction earlier this week.

The dancehall legend and his two co-accused are staring down a life sentence after being found guilty for killing 20-year-old Ricardo Johnson in March 2009. The conviction in Jamaica’s Supreme Court sent shock-waves through the dancehall community. Several of his peers in the genre including Bounty Killer, Mavado, D’Angel, and Bling Dawg have shared their reaction. “He was my first DJ Jah know star,” Mavado wrote.

“This is a very sad time for me right now I’ve know Ninja Man to be someone you can talk with in any situation, one that is always quick to resolve problems, especially the ones that often times develop amongst artist in the music industry,” D’Angel wrote on Instagram while asking for the deejay to get a second chance. “I’ve learnt to gain respect for Ninja throughout the years even more because I’ve seen how he helped a lot of people in need all over a man with a BIG heart.”

Bling Dawg wrote a lengthy statement condemning some fans who are attacking Ninjaman amidst his conviction. Bounty Killer repost that statement. “As I read the comments made towards you People are so cruel these days not knowing what truly happen that’s why me stay in a My Rass lane and no chat up to people cause at your low no BODY GIVES A F**K my prayers goes out to the two side of the family affected by this case I’m not a judge and I wasn’t there when whatever happen but I will say your a true legend. I send my blessing to you and the victims family and may god be with you all,” the dancehall deejay wrote.

Drake – Over My Dead Body

[Hook: Chantal Kreviazuk]
How I’m feeling, it doesn’t matter
Cause you know I’m okay
And still, I ask myself, "Why do you worry?"
When you know I’m the same
I know, I know you don’t love me, baby
They’re trying to take you away from me
Only over my dead body…

[Verse 1]
I think I killed everybody in the game last year, man
Fuck it, I was on though
And I thought I found the girl of my dreams at a strip club (mm-mm)
Fuck it, I was wrong though
Shout out all to all my niggas living tax free
Nowadays it’s six figures when they tax me
Oh well, I guess you lose some and win some
Long as the outcome is income
You know I want it all and then some
Shout out to Asian girls, let the lights dim some
Shots came, I don’t know where they was sent from
Probably some bad hoes I’m ’bout to take the hint from
Yeah, you know me well, nigga
I mean you ain’t the only real nigga
They got me on these white women like Seal, nigga
Slave to the pussy but I’m just playing the field, nigga
Are these people really discussing my career again?
Asking if I’ll be going platinum in a year again?
Don’t I got the shit the world wanna hear again?
Don’t Michael Jordan still got his hoop earring in?
Man all of your flows bore me: paint drying
And I don’t ever be trippin off of what ain’t mine
And I be hearing the shit you say through the grapevine
But jealousy is just love and hate at the same time
Yeah…It’s been that way from the beginning
I just been playing, I ain’t even notice I was winning
And this is the only sound you should fear
Man, these kids wear crowns over here and everything is alright

[Hook]
How I’m feeling, it doesn’t matter
Cause you know I’m okay
And still, I ask myself, "Why do you worry?"
When you know I’m the same
I know, I know you don’t love me, baby
They’re trying to take you away from me
Only over my dead body…

[Verse 2]
You say I’m old news, well who the new star?
Cause if I’m going anywhere, it’s probably too far
Just performed at a Bar Mitzvah over in the States
Used half of the money to beat my brother’s case
Red wine over Fed time
And shout out to the niggas that’s doing dead time
Shout out to the bitches there when it’s bedtime
And fuck you to the niggas that think it’s their time
Yeah, don’t make me take your life apart, boy
You and whoever the fuck gave you your start boy
Oh, you wanna be a motherfucking funny guy?
Don’t make me break your Kevin Hart, boy
Yeah.. it’s whatever
You know, feeling good – living better
I think maybe I was numb to it last year
But you know I feel it now more than ever
My city love me like Mac Dre in the Bay
Second album, I’m back paving the way
The backpackers are back on the bandwagon
Like this was my comeback season back, back in the day
And I met your baby moms last night
We took a picture together, I hope she frames it!
And I was drinking at the Palms last night
And ended up losing everything that I came with
Feel like I’ve been here before, huh?
I still got 10 years to go, huh?
And this is the only sound you should fear
Man, these kids wear crowns over here and everything is all right

[Hook]
How I’m feeling, it doesn’t matter
Cause you know I’m okay
And still, I ask myself, "Why do you worry?"
When you know I’m the same
I know, I know you don’t love me, baby
They’re trying to take you away from me
Only over my dead body…

Pusho – Se Nos Fue El Amor (feat.

Tomas The Latin Boy – Rómpetela (feat. Lenny Tavarez)

[Tomas The Latin Boy]
Yo te lo dije que no jugaras con fuego
Si me lo hacias una vez pa’ perdonar mejor muero
Yo te lo dije contigo fui muy sincero
Yo no naci pa’ perder no llames que no hay regreso

[Estribillo x2: Tomas The Latin Boy]
Ahora rompetela cabeza
Pensando que otra me besa
No quiero pero no quiero
Problemas, no me interesa

[Lenny Tavarez]

Gritando, fuego cenizas quedan
Pero conmigo eso no va
Tu amiga llamo diciéndome que te perdonara
Se la echo en la cara

[Estribillo x2: Lenny Tavarez]
Ahora rompetela cabeza
Pensando que otra me besa
No quiero pero no quiero
Problemas, no me interesa

[Tomas The Latin Boy]
No sé si te duele perderme o perder a Channel

[Estribillo x2: Lenny Tavarez]
Ahora rompetela cabeza
Pensando que otra me besa
No quiero pero no quiero
Problemas, no me interesa

[Outro]

Vic Mensa – We Could Be Free (On The Late Show) (Live)

[Intro]
We could be free
If we only knew we were slaves to the pains of each other
One thing I believe I could learn
To see my enemy as my brother
Then we could be free, truly
And love could wash away our sorrows
I’m not afraid to bleed
If it means, we’ll make them better today not tomorrow

[Verse 1]
One day I dream of telling my momma
"You ain’t gotta work no more"
Same for my father, born in Ghana, down on that dirt road floor
As far as he came I can’t complain, but pain is so subjective
Spend so much time countin’ issues, I forget to count
My blessings
Watch my cousins back at home, getting water out a well
While I watch my brother stacking stone, whippin’ water by the scale
Tryna’ get a mill’ on the other side
They ain’t got a meal, we don’t recognize we in heaven
So we think we live in hell
It’s been getting kinda hard to tell
But

[Bridge]
Sometimes I wake up and I look up at the sky
Asking why I’m alive when the realest niggas died
And my pride won’t let me give up, lord as hard as I try
In those times I try to remember

[Hook]
That we could be free
If we only knew we were slaves to the pains of each other
One day, I believe I’d learn
To see my enemy as my brother
Then we could be free, truly
And love could wash away our sorrows
I’m not afraid to bleed
If it means, we’ll make them better today not tomorrow

[Verse 2]
I don’t want to wait for the afterlife
I don’t want a vigil by candle light
I don’t want to be the new sacrifice
I don’t want to turn into a poltergeist
Be a ghost at night full of broken dreams
Momma cryin’ at an open casket
Cold as ice in a suit, 3 piece
All dressed up for Sunday masses
Pastor said put faith in God
But faith alone can’t make things right
Who the fuck is you to patronize
Somebody’s son whose daddy died?
Why they flood Baton Rouge?
Why the city singing Alton’s blues?
Why, why, why, why?
I feel like Jadakiss every time I watch the news
What the fuck I got to lose?
So I’m down to bleed if it means things improve
You fools, saying "all lives matter"
But it’s black lives you refuse include
Blocked from the polls
Locked in the hood, trying to stop you from voting and stop you from growing
And cops keep blowing and blowing
Keep black people locked into cotton
They don’t want you to own, but

[Bridge]
Sometimes I wake up and I look up in the sky
Asking why I survived all the days that I could have died
Who am I in my place
To contemplate suicide?
In those times I try to remember

[Hook]
That we could be free, truly
If we’d only knew we were slaves to the pains of each other
But I believe I’d learn
To see my enemy as my brother
Then we could be free, you and me
And we could wash away our sorrows
I’m not afraid to bleed, if it means
We’ll make them better today not tomorrow

[Outro: Ty Dolla $ign and Vic Mensa]
Love (love)
Love (love)
To love my enemy as my brother
(yeah yeah yeah)
Make my enemy my brother
Woah, oh, oh, oh
Enemy my brother

SZA – Go Gina (Acoustic)

[Verse]
Hey love, I lost you babe
Picking up a penny with a press-on is
Easier than holding you down
Can’t be any harder than holding you up now
To come clean I said
(To come clean is to come clean)
To be real is to be real, it’s
Probably true what they say about me
Probably came from my inner circle
It usually come from your inner circle
Or lack thereof and I don’t know who I can trust
I’ve been dropping out and
I’ve been hanging out with my high friends
And we too stoned to pay attention, now
(Much too cool for 7th grade)
I mean really, it’s same me, it’s old me
You know? Same shit
I’ve been on the low key grinding
(Grinding, grinding, grinding)
Learning on the low key, shining
Tryin’ to keep to myself
But you bring me out of character
Every time again

[Chorus]
Damn Gina, damn Gina
Them jeans, they must be uptight mama
You need some get right mama
Go Gina, go Gina
Go get that get right mama
Go Gina, go Gina
Go ’til you get right mama

[Bridge]
I belong to nobody
Hope it don’t bother you
You could mind your business
I belong to nobody
Try not to disturb
And mind my business

[Outro]
Still works for me, it works for me, no
It works for me, it works for me, no
(Go Gina, go Gina)
Still works for me, it works for me, no
It works for me, it works for me, no
(Go Gina, go Gina)
Still works for me, it works for me, no
It works for me, it works for me, no
(Go Gina, go Gina)
Still works for me, it works for me, no
It works for me, it works for me, no
(Go Gina, go Gina)

Shawn Mendes – There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back (At The 2017 American Music Awards) (Live)

[Verse 1]
I wanna follow where she goes
I think about her and she knows it
I wanna let her take control
‘Cause everytime that she gets close, yeah

[Pre-Chorus]
She pulls me in enough to keep me guessing
And maybe I should stop and start confessing
Confessing, yeah

[Chorus]
Oh, I’ve been shaking
I love it when you go crazy
You take all my inhibitions
Baby, there’s nothing holding me back
You take me places that tear up my reputation
Manipulate my decisions
Baby, there’s nothing holding me back
There’s nothing holding me back
There’s nothing holding me back

[Verse 2]
She says that she’s never afraid
Just picture everybody naked
She really doesn’t like to wait
Not really into hesitation

[Pre-Chorus]
Pulls me in enough to keep me guessing
And maybe I should stop and start confessing
Confessing

[Chorus]
Oh, I’ve been shaking
I love it when you go crazy
You take all my inhibitions
Baby, there’s nothing holding me back
You take me places that tear up my reputation
Manipulate my decisions
Baby, there’s nothing holding me back
There’s nothing holding me back

[Bridge]
‘Cause if we lost our minds and we took it way too far
I know we’d be alright, I know we would be alright
If you were by my side and we stumbled in the dark
I know we’d be alright, I know we would be alright
‘Cause if we lost our minds and we took it way too far
I know we’d be alright, I know we would be alright
If you were by my side and we stumbled in the dark
I know we’d be alright, I know we would be alright

[Chorus]
Oh, I’ve been shaking
I love it when you go crazy
You take all my inhibitions
Baby, there’s nothing holding me back
You take me places that tear up my reputation
Manipulate my decisions
Baby, there’s nothing holding me back
There’s nothing holding me back
I feel so free when you’re with me, baby
Baby, there’s nothing holding me back
