The Detroit rapper has been teasing the new album for the past two months starting with some ads about medication. Are Rihanna and Popcaan Working On New Music?

Rihanna and Popcaan stirs up rumors that they are working on new music together.

The pop superstar and teh Unruly Boss were both in Barbados last weekend. Rihanna was on her home soil where she was honored with a street named after her, while Popcaan was there to perform at a concert. RiRi and her BFF Melissa Ford link up with Poppy for a candid photo that has since been making the rounds on social media.

Sources close to the “Work” singer told Dancehall HipHop that the two spoke about working together but so far nothing concrete. “They did spoke about collaborating but nothing concrete yet just the initiation,” sources said. “These are two great Caribbean artists who are fans of each other’s music so naturally they would want to work together. Only time will tell if we will get a song featuring Rihanna and Popcaan.”

Both artists are currently working on new albums so there isn’t a better time for them to drop a collaboration on one of the upcoming projects. Popcaan is close friends with Rihanna’s ex-boyfriend Drake, so if this collab happens lets so how Drizzy will react to it. Last year RiRi had one of the biggest songs on the planet, her dancehall banger “Work” featuring Drake. The video for that single received almost a billion views on YouTube.

Watch Chronixx New Video “Likes” With Ravers Clavers

Chronixx drop a dance video for “Likes” featuring dance group Ravers Clavers.

This is the second music video to be released for the popular single this year. The track is featured on the reggae singer’s chart topping album Chronology, for which he earned himself a Grammy and MOBO nomination for. The cut features members of the popular dance group headed by Ding Dong showing off some new dance moves that they debut this year. Ding Dong didn’t make a cameo but Beenie Man daughter Desha Ravers showed off some impressive moves.

Chronixx says he released the new video to pay homage to dancing, something he grew up on. 2017 has been a big year for the reggae star who is at the forefront of the reggae revival movement. Last weekend he performed in front of a sold out crowd at Mas Camp in Kingston as he brought his Chronology World Tour to his home soil.

Damian Marley Says He Is A Fan Of Chronixx Music

Damian Marley says he is a big fan of Chronixx music.

Both Junior Gong and the Chronology singer are nominated for Best Reggae Album at the 60th Grammy Awards set to take place next month. The two reggae stars released two dope albums this year with Gong Dropping Stony Hill in July and Chronixx dropping his album that same month. Both albums were well received by reggae fans globally.

Gong says that he is deeply honored to have gotten a Grammy nomination for his latest project and also praises Chronixx for his latest body of work. “Some good albums are in the category this year,” Damian Marley said. “Chronixx put out a really nice album, which I listen to as a fan. I like that album a whole heap. Morgan Heritage, who are close family friends of mine, they have a good album out too, likewise J Boog. I am not so familiar with Common Kings, but everybody else I kinda know them music and we are all friends.”

Morgan Heritage, Common Kings, and J Boog, are the other three artists who received a Grammy nomination in the reggae category. Damian Marley and Chronixx were also nominated in the reggae category for the 2017 MOBO Awards which Gong won last week.

Two Years After J Capri’s Death Foundation Set To Launch

It’s been two years since dancehall star J Capri‘s death.

Her family has been working behind the scenes over the past year and a half to setup a foundation in her honor. J Capri, whose real name is Jordan Phillips, died in the hospital on December 4th, 2015 from injuries she received from a car crash. Her family has since been trying to keep her memory alive through various initiatives including a charitable foundation setup with the aim to sponsor students at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, the same school where Capri studied music.

The foundation also awards students at the primary school level who performed exceptional in the Grade Six Achievement Test examination by paying their tuition to continue their education. The foundation was originally slated to be launched on the anniversary of her death this month, but her mother, Oradell ‘Debbie’ Carwin, confirmed that the launch date has been pushed back to January due to some minor setbacks.

“We are in the process of setting up the website and everything for the official launch in December 2017,” Carwin said. “If a student wants to apply for a scholarship they can sign up via the website and give details on what they want to pursue and explain why deserve the scholarship.”

J Capri’s death has still been difficult to deal with by her family and fans. She had a bright future and was seen as one of the most talented young artists in dancehall prior to her death.

T.I. Insists He Creates Trap Music But Fans Think UGK Did

Did T.I. created trap music or was it created by UGK.

Earlier this year, the Atlanta rapper did an interview where he insisted that he is the original creator of trap music and even make reference to his 2003 album Trap Muzik. During a recent interview, T.I. says that nobody was doing trap music before he did. But now trap fans are pushing back saying he couldn’t be more wrong and insisting that UGK started the sub-genre back in the early 90s.

“Unless there was a time before then that you recall hearing it,” TIP said about his album. “Now since it was introduced to the world there were people who came on and enforced it and kind of spread the genre out and gave it wings and life beyond it’s origin. But if you go back to who truly started it, I must humbly say myself.”

While trap music has become more mainstream in recent years, T.I. taking credit for originating it is rubbing some fans the wrong way. The 70s and 80s babies would know that Bun B and Pimp C of UGK were doing some trap music freestyles in the south from as far back as 1992, you can go back and listen to their debut Too Hard to Swallow. In the mid-90s, 8Ball & MJG dropped an album, On the Outside Looking In, which comprises of some of the same trap flows we are hearing today.

Undoubtedly, T.I. put the rubber stamp on trap music in the early 2000s and then some southern rappers came in later and pushed it more into the mainstream. But does UGK and 8Ball & MJG deserves some credit for originating the sub genre. “You must born in 2000 if you think that T.I. created trap music. Pimp C and Bun B were spitting trap down in Texas from way back in the 90s. take a L for this one TIP,” one fan wrote while another added, “Big Boi was doing trap before T.I. back in the Oukast days, so naan I can’t believe T want to take credit for that.”

Absolutely, there are fans on both sides of the divide and some are very vocal in support of TIPS claim that he created trap music. “T.I is the Jay Z of trap music. Joe is right Jeezy has been going in a musical direction causing him be stagnant as an artist while the fans wait for a triumphant return that may never happen,” one fan tweeted.

T.I. ain't create trap music but he made it mainstream and then came Jeezy and Gucci

T.I. did create trap music in a way. He deserves his credit. However the whole concept of being "TRAP" is nothing new.

It's funny how people bump trap music but dont know who is the originator…they mention young thug, uzi vert, 2 chainz, future and designer Niggas…some of these guys dont even have bars to keep it trap. T.I is king for a reason

Big Sean & Metro Boomin Album ‘Double or Nothing’ Coming This Thursday

Big Sean and Metro Boomin joint album Double Or Nothing coming this Thursday night.

The rapper and the producer only announced the joint album last week and on Tuesday they announced that it’s coming on December 8th, which means on Thursday night just before midnight you will be able to stream it online. This year has been huge for hip hop music and we got a lot of collaborative efforts with Metro Boomin proving that producers are winning too. The St. Louis producer dropped collaborative albums Without Warning with 21 Savage and DropTopWop with Gucci Mane.

Now he is closing out the year on a high with Double or Nothing with Big Sean which is only a few days away. Big Sean and Metro Boomin both had a phenomenal year but perhaps they wisely didn’t want to butt heads with Eminem who is dropping his album Revival on December 15, just a week after they decided to drop their project.

They also posted the cover art for the album which showcases a photo of both artists all blacked out except for their jewelry. A preview of the album could be posted on social media today or tonight, which will give fans a taste of what’s to come.

Rapper Phresher Talks Eminem Collaboration “Its Raw AF”

Rapper Phresher says his collaboration with Eminem on Revival is “raw as f**k.”

Slim Shady revealed the official tracklist for his new album on Tuesday and the internet nearly went nuts trying to decipher every track title and every guest feature. Phresher, who is an up-and-coming rapper, is the only rap artist to get a feature on the project, the rest of the guest list is made up of pop and R&B artists like Ed Sheeran, Pink, Beyonce, and Alicia Keys.

Eminem is one of those rare artists who can get whoever they want on a song or on an album, he has worked with the biggest of the biggest, and move massive numbers when it comes to music sales. So why would he seek out a guest verse from a no name rapper? Phresher, who is featured on Em’s song “Chloraseptic,” spoke with Complex yesterday where he revealed that Eminem reached out to him after hearing his track “Wait A Minute.” He said the rap titan then flew to New York to meet with him where they spent eight hours recording a new track.

“Yeah, it’s raw as f**k, man,” he said. “The emotions is just turnt up. It’s a turnt up record. It’s raw. That’s the perfect word for it. Eminem going off. The hook is just [crazy]. We going off. It’s at your throat like Chloraseptic. The record is about just spitting, man. Just going off, you get what I’m saying? Just cutthroat, at your throat music. Like, I’m on you, you know what I’m saying? Real right-at-you music. It’s just awesome, man. Eminem went crazy on it.”

Phresher also revealed that the producer behind the single is Denaun Porter and he recorded his portion of the song on the spot. Eminem new album Revival arrives on December 15.

BTOB – Missing You (Sub Español, Hangul, Roma)

My life is incomplete
It’s Missing you

It’s alright

I pray for you every night and day
I hope that someday soon
I can see you once again

DJ Shone – Dva Promila (feat. Rada Manojlovic)

[Rada Refren]
Ma gde god bio časti drugove
subota je dan za klubove
srce svoje ne dam drugome
večeras tvoja mala luduje

Zašto bih ti krila
da sam noćas pila
u krvi dva promila
ti pitaš gde si bila

[DJ Shone]
Zato sam super

noćas me žele al ih drugi kući prati

[Rada Refren]
Ma gde god bio časti drugove
subota je dan za klubove
srce svoje ne dam drugome
večeras tvoja mala luduje

Zašto bih ti krila
da sam noćas pila
u krvi dva promila
ti pitaš gde si bila

[DJ Shone]
One zavidne kažu kako si loša
napraviš lom uvek tamo gde si prošla
ludila doza ti bahata i grozna

[Rada Refren] x3
Ma gde god bio časti drugove
subota je dan za klubove
srce svoje ne dam drugome
večeras tvoja mala luduje

Zašto bih ti krila

Rade Lackovic – Ceznja

Koliko još da čekam te za šankom
ne mogu da stojim
već ponoć je a dok ti dođeš
neću da postojim

Deo po deo kradu me od tebe
nokti i karmini
kroz tvoje se oči voze
u osmoj brzini

A ti a ti mi čežnju udaraš

[Refren]
Ti si kriva ako me zavedu
ovu noć žene zle
lošim putem ako me povedu
već za ruku drže me

Dođeš ti biću ja presrećan
i bez tebe nisam nesrećan
ova noć biće ludilo
samo kad bih tebe ljubio

Da li još da čuvam se za tebe
ili da se pustim
ša poglede i ove ruke
ja na drugu spustim

Deo pondeo kradu me na kvarno
te kraljice noći
posle dvanaest čak ni ljubav
neće ti pomoći

A ti a ti mi čežnju udaraš

[Refren] x2
Ti si kriva ako me zavedu
ovu noć žene zle
lošim putem ako me povedu
već za ruku drže me

Dođeš ti biću ja presrećan
i bez tebe nisam nesrećan
ova noć biće ludilo
samo kad bih tebe ljubio

Mr. Hudson – Coldplay (feat. Vic Mensa)

[Chorus: Mr. Hudson]
Twisted silent
Please decipher
We can still try
We’re too young to die

[Verse 1: Mr. Hudson]
So much for the fail safe
Wrong way down the runway
This scene’s playing over
I can’t think when I’m sober
I hear what you don’t say
My heart beats like a freight train
This place doesn’t feel the same
Is this the part where I walk away?

[Chorus: Mr. Hudson]
Twisted silent, please decipher
We can still try, too young to die

Shoelaces tied, taxis outside
We can still try, we’re too young to die

[Verse 2: Mr. Hudson]
But long walk down the old street
The [?] are all down on the concrete
But me, I need something stronger
I guess I thought that I’d be stronger
Wet hair on a cold day
The kind of day you play Coldplay
I don’t even like Coldplay
But today I need Coldplay

[Chorus: Mr. Hudson]
Twisted silent, please decipher
We can still try, too young to die

Shoelaces tied, taxis outside
We can still try, we’re too young to die

[Hook: Vic Mensa]
I left you in tears at the airport
Crying inside but I ain’t make a sound
It’s ironic, not even tears could say could save us now
She’s breaking down
We’re breaking up, my Lady Luck, my favorite love
I think Because I can’t give up, the way it was
It really hurts us more than things that we don’t say
I see your face in yellow every time I hear Coldplay
And you placed on the pillowcase where you don’t lay
In a bouquet of roses I left in your suitcase
Before I screwed it up and made you screwed face
I think about you every time I hear sad songs
On New York Radio in Yellow sexy chat songs
My mama told me many glass homes should be passed on
I left you by your own, now I’m grown and I don’t wanna die alone
The twisted silence, relationships and violence
Shit was childish, I lost my queen, pop and ace of spades, king of diamonds
Just be honest, you was always fixing me
Now I don’t know what else to do, but listen to "Fix You" on repeat
I hate Coldplay

[Outro: Mr. Hudson]
Heartless bottom moving on
Cause we [?] (taxis outside)
I know you gotta find someone that I don’t wanna know
Your heartless bottom moving on
Cause we [?] (taxis outside)
I know you gotta find someone that I don’t wanna know
No, no, no
