Cardi B Has Three Songs On Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 Creates History Again

Cardi B is dominating Billboard Hot 100 to kick off her New Year.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper became only the third artist in history and the first rapper to have their first three Billboard Hot 100 songs to chart in the top ten simultaneously. The only other two artists to achieve this are Ashanti and The Beatles, according to Billboard. Cardi B joined the elites among artists last year when her debut single “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” topped the chart making her the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill in the late 1990s to top the chart with a solo record.

Now Cardi B is making more history for herself once again on the most recognized music chart on the planet, the Billboard Hot 100. Her song with G-Eazy and ASAP Rocky, “No Limit” jumps one place this week to No. 4, while Migos’ “MotorSport” with Cardi B and Nicki Minaj holds firm at No. 7 on the chart this week. That’s two singles in the top ten where she is a guest artist on, but her debut single “Bodak Yellow” saw some resurgence over the holidays and jumped two places from No. 12 to 10 on the chart.

“What a great way to start my Year.Thank you Lord,” Cardi B wrote on Instagram. “Only you and i know how much i pray to you. These last few weeks been too much for me but my Lord always find a way to uplift me .Thank you to my fans ,DJS ,Team for the support .Thanks to all the artist who featured me In these songs and thanks guys for showing my second single BARTIER CARDI some love I love you.”

It’s very much possible that she can achieve four songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 if her new single “Bartier Cardi” continues to gain momentum. The song made its debut on the chart at No. 14 and over the holidays it was a top trending song on some major streaming platforms. Further down on the chart, Cardi B can be found on another song “La Modelo” with latin singer Ozuna which entered the chart at No. 52. “LA MODELO HAS ALSO ENTER THE HOT 100 at number 52 .Thank you guys for the support this honestly one of my favorite songs .Thank you @ozunapr por darme la oportunidad,” Bardi wrote on Instagram.

Dancehall Artist Harry Toddler Robbed And Gun Butt

Harry Toddler is the latest dancehall artist to fall victim to the crime wave gripping Jamaica.

Following the murder of two dancehall artists in recent weeks, former Scare Dem Crew deejay Harry Toddler was robbed at gunpoint over the holidays. The artist broke the news on social media last weekend telling his fans that he was held up by two gunmen in the Tower Hill area of ST. Andrew. He said that the men took US$500, JM$30,000, a laptop, phones, and his passport.

Toddlers says he doesn’t care about the cash, but is more interested in getting back his passport so that he can travel to fulfill his contractual obligations overseas as an entertainer. He also said that he has a bunch of unreleased music on the stolen laptop and is pleading with criminals to return the computer and his passport. “If the man them can just run back the passport and the laptop, I don’t care about the money,” he said. The artist said the money was for his daughters who are living overseas.

“Jah know star as a artist mi can’t even move around in my own country,” he added. Over the last few months, dancehall artists Mineral Boss and Unicorn were shot and killed in separate incidents in Jamaica. The local entertainment fraternity is currently on edge over the targeting of artists.

Tamar Braxton Deletes Instagram Denies Being Back With Vincent Herbert

Tamar Braxton went lights out on Instagram after denying that she is back with her estrange husband Vincent Herbert.

The R&B singer was spotted on Tuesday arriving at the LAX with Herbert and their son and that triggered rumors that they are back together. Tamar quickly took to her Instagram to shot down the reports that she is back with her ex after getting him arrested on Christmas Day. She claim that the arrest was caused by a heated argument due to jealousy and intoxication. Fast forward to the second day in the new year and they were spotted traveling together like most civilize family do.

“NOPE! Sorry! Not together but since the craziness the other day, we DID agree to create a better environment for son!!” she wrote on IG. “P.s. we also agreed not to speak on this anymore in public after this! My son can read and he’s not dumb #2018goals #praymystrengthinthelord.”

After writing that on Instagram she then deleted her account. If you go on her profile on IG this is the page you will come across “user not found.” Perhaps a social media break is the best thing for her right now because you just can’t stop the media from writing about your personal life as a celebrity.

#TamarBraxton confirms that she and #VinceHerbert are not together, but they are creating a better environment for their son (view earlier post)

Erykah Badu Clarifies Reports Of Stalker At Her Home

Erykah Badu has stepped forward to clarify reports of a stalker invading her home.

Moments after cops pulled her over in Dallas on New Year’s Eve, reports surfaced claiming that Erykah Badu had a running with a stalker at her home. The good news is, there wasn’t actually a stalker at her home and the bad news is a fan learned the hard way to never just popped up at a celebrity home or else you will find yourself behind bars even if its innocent.

“Peace and love Dallas, Texas,” she said in a video posted on Instagram. “In response to a story about a stalker breaking in, there was no breaking so stop it… story overblown. The only thing that happened was there was a kid on Twitter who follows me, has the hots for me, came over, wanted to look at me and do some music with me. He made a bad decision and then decided that this might not be the best thing and left.”

Erykah Badu says that her neighbors called the cops and reported that a strange kid was walking around the neighborhood asking if she lives there. She said the cops showed up and took the kid to the bus station and sent him home. Long story short, there wasn’t a stalker breaking in her home situation, just an overzealous fan made a bad decision to show up at her home.

LA Lewis Claims Sizzla Put A Hit Out For Him “My Kids Are In Danger”

LA Lewis is claiming that Sizzla has a hit out on his head.

Perhaps these two dancehall artists should make peace before someone gets seriously hurt or killed. Last weekend, LA Lewis posted a video on Facebook telling his fans that he was attacked by some of Sizzla goons who brandish guns in his face while he was traveling from August Town, a place where Kalonji is like a don. On New Year’s Eve, Lewis posted another video claiming that he was attacked once again and this time the men poured liquor on his kids.

“People this is no joke, Sizzla Kalonji send his hitman them to take out LA Lewis,” he said on Facebook. “Sizzla man them poured liquor on LA and his babies them in the car, me a beg unnu please put an end to this the man them want to kill my kids over foolishness.”

Sizzla has not responded to LA Lewis’ claims of a hit out on his head, but the reggae/dancehall legend did make a very serious threat during his performance on Christmas Day at GT Taylor Christmas Extravaganza in St. Elizabeth. Nevertheless, dancehall fans have been calling for the artists to make peace before the situation gets out of hand. Tensions are currently extremely high between the two deejays which means a third party will likely have to step in and mediate the situation.

Alan Walker – All Falls Down (Mio Remix)

[Verse 1]
What’s the trick? I wish I knew
I’m so done with thinking through
All the things I could’ve been
And I know you wonder too
All it takes is that one look you do and I run right back to you
You cross the line and it’s time to say "F" you

What’s the point in saying that
When you know how I’ll react?
You think you can just take it back
But shit just don’t work like that
You’re the drug that I’m addicted to, and I want you so bad
Guess I’m stuck, with you, and that’s that

[Chrous]
‘Cause when it all falls down, then whatever
When it don’t work out for the better
If it just ain’t right, and it’s time to say goodbye
When it all falls down, when it all falls down
I’ll be fine

[Verse 2]
Why we fight? I don’t know
We say what hurts the most
Oh, I tried staying cold, but you take it personal
All these firing shots and making ground
It’s way too hard to cope, but I still can’t let you go

[Chorus]
‘Cause when it all falls down, then whatever
When it don’t work out for the better
If it just ain’t right, and it’s time to say goodbye
When it all falls down, when it all falls down
I’ll be fine

[Outro]
You’re the drug that I’m addicted to, and I want you so bad
But I’ll be fine (fine, fine, fine, fine)
I’ll be fine

You’re the drug that I’m addicted to, and I want you so bad
But I’ll be fine (fine, fine, fine, fine)
I’ll be fine

Avicii – Friend Of Mine (feat. Vargas & Lagola)

[Verse 1]
Hey
Do you remember we said, "Hello"?
And you asked me about my Levi’s T-shirt
Said, "You are a friend of mine"
My, oh my
You must have saved me about a thousand times
I wouldn’t be the one I am today
If you hadn’t been a friend of mine

[Chorus]
I ain’t misbehaving
I’m just telling you the truth
Take my love for granted
Yeah, I’ll give it all to you
Made me count for something
Yeah, I feel it in my heart
God only knows what I’d have been if you hadn’t been

[Post-Chorus/Drop]
A friend of mine

[Verse 2]
Hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
I haven’t seen you around since high school
How you doin’, do you still remember me?
Are you still a friend of mine?
Guess you’re still a friend of mine
Guess you’re still a friend of mine
Now I see
I see
Why I get nervous when you look at me
It’s like your eyes are trying to tell me something
That you’re more than just a friend of mine
That you’re more than just a friend of mine, oh my

[Chorus]
I ain’t misbehaving
I’m just telling you the truth
Take my love for granted
Yeah, I’ll give it all to you
Made me count for something
Yeah, I feel it in my heart
God only knows what I’d have been if you hadn’t been

[Post-Chorus/Drop]
A friend of mine

Joyzu & Lillianna Wilde – Famous

[Verse 1]
I liked you before you were famous
When we were like homies and kickin’ it
Laid up in bed, with nothing but time
Talking shit deep and off limits like
Religion and politics
Could we or we not commit
And you hated the counterfeit
All of that phony shit
Damn you turned out a hypocrite
I liked you before all that ego
And money went right to your head
You used to put value on women
And now you just count ’em in bed, you
Used to mean what you said
You, used to be such a good friend
Now you’re all on the surface, luxury worthless
Can’t find purpose, in a purchase

[Chorus]
I like you before you were famous
Used to be such a good friend
I like you before you were famous
I like you before you were famous
Used to be such a good friend
I like you before you were famous

[Verse 2]
I liked you before all your new friends
And new bitch whose running her mouth at me
Who can’t mind her business, who watching your phone
Got your password so she can check up on me
And now that girl texting me
Like da, da, da, da, da that bitch just keep texting me
She going, she going, I’m reading, ingnoring
The messages she think she sending me
I liked you before all the parties and pills in LA
When you used to hit me to talk
And now I can’t reach you for days
Used to be good enough boy
For us to just chill at my place, but
Now you need mansions, valet
And girls climbing ladders on dates

[Chorus]
I like you before you were famous
Used to be such a good friend
I like you before you were famous
I like you before you were famous
Used to be such a good friend
I like you before you were famous

[Verse 3]
I liked you before you forgot who you were
And all of the people that got you there
The girl that stood by you, and stood up for you
When nobody else was left standing there
‘Cause babe I stood by you, and stood up for you
When nobody else was left standing there
You wanna come back, and be the old you
I ain’t still standing here
I liked you before you were famous
When we were like homies and kickin’ it
Laid up in bed, with nothing but time
Talking shit deep and off limits like
Religion and politics
Could we or we not commit
And you hated the counterfeit
All of that phony shit
Damn you turned out a hypocrite
I liked you before all your new friends
And new bitch who running her mouth at me
I liked you before you were famous
How can you say you do not mess with me
I liked you before you were famous
How dare you say you do not fuck with me
I liked you before you were famous
Before you were famous

[Chorus]
I like you before you were famous
Used to be such a good friend
I like you before you were famous
I like you before you were famous
Used to be such a good friend
I like you before you were famous
I like you before you were famous
Used to be such a good friend
I like you before you were famous
I like you before you were famous
Used to be such a good friend
I like you before you were famous

So in addition to being well-deserved, Kotb’s promotion couldn’t be a more timely response to one of the questions facing almost every industry at this moment regarding what they’re doing to shake up the standard ways of doing business, in which a man is considered the given example of something and the woman is considered the female version of whatever the man has established as the norm (like “woman doctor” or “woman cop,” or “woman anchor” and “woman CEO”).
