Craig Mack – Get Down Lyrics

[Intro]
And bass up the track a little bit
‘Cause I wanna hear that “Booss, booss,” ya’know’m’sayin’?

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

[Verse 1]
Now who got the flav that comes a dime a dozen
That keeps ‘em buzzin’
Thinking that they phat when they wasn’t
Welcome to the world of Mack, or Mackman
Leave you small guys sayin’, I eat MC’s like Pac-Man
I’m incredible, better eat ya vegetables
‘Cause…I does what I do you (Do it!)
I fake the roof off of soft suckers
Super smackin’, macking, full effect mike check one two
I’ma reign, reign forever
Rain like bad weather, reign like whoever never
You can’t bite my style
‘Cause my style ain’t a style that is a style
So I can go buckwild
Bet you figured you got more funk for flow
It ain’t so
Flava in Ya Ear letcha know
Now I’m about a second from the hook, duk
Scrap ya rap book, ‘fore you get ya wet style shook

[Hook 4X]
Can I get down?
Get on down
Can I get down?

[Verse 2]
The Mack’s like a superintendent
Burning MCs leaves a foul scent
See, I’m like what ya call, king a yes ya’ll
My style’s rick, sick, I mean real sick
Shit’s thick, I come with the ammo
The real whammo slammo stuff that I be droppin
And I’ll wake the great; let’s warm up the hot plate
I’m changing fate from the neck I’ma castrate
My rap loves to alienate
Shake ya ass to ’til it stank; you stomp, I dominate
See, I ain’t scared of you muthafuckas
To me ya all suckers ’cause I make the ruckus
Don’t try to buck us, we roll bulletproof
No cooth, on the roof, bitin’ like a sabertooth
I pound on the ground when I get down
So let me get down, let me get down

[Hook 4X]
Can I get down?
Get on down
Can I get down?

[Verse 3]
Can leap a tall building, crush the Earth for fun
But I’m sayin’ ain’t no fair, yo, when MC’s run
(Ain’t no fair; ain’t no fair)
The mic’s now in the right hands
‘Cause the Mack’s on the Earth just to spoil your plans
More pep than the pepper that’s in ya pepper shaker
Ruff earthquaker, couldn’t take me if ya mama make ya
I back up the funk that I bring with unknown to man slang
With bigger bite than the Devil fang
I ain’t met who could hang
If ya testin in ya lesson
Got me dressin for ya funeral session
Man, it won’t even matter no more
Craig in ’94 just won the war
My style was definite to take ya over
Have ya sittin’ look over in a four door Chevy Nova
(Why I oughta)
I figure its a slaughter
In the world of dollars, ya shit ain’t nothing but a quarter
The name of the track is “Get Down”
So let me get down and pound other MC’s in the ground

[Hook (Repeated until end)]
Can I get down?
Get on down
Can I get down?

Cardi B Responds To Chris Brown ‘s Attempt To Water Down Her Success

Cardi B shot back at Chris Brown insisting that she made Billboard history this week.

This week, the “Bartier Cardi” rapper became only the third artist in history to have their first three entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the top 10 simultaneously, the other two artists are The Beatles and Ashanti. Chris Brown posted on his Instagram yesterday that he and a bunch of other artists have achieved three songs in the top 10 on the chart simultaneously. Breezy clearly misunderstood the difference between having any three of your songs in the top ten at the same time and having your first three songs ever to enter the chart making it to the top ten at the same time.

Cardi B posted a response on Instagram clarifying her achievement for her detractors. “Yall say that I don’t know how to speak proper English, and I say that a lot of yall don’t know how to read,” she said. “Let me be clear! I did not make history for having three songs on the top 10 Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, that’s been done before, more than a few times! I made history for having my first threesongs ever to be entered on the charts hit the top 10 Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, and that has only been done three times.”

She ended her statement saying, “Respect my sh*t and let me live my best life in peace I just wanna be, I just wanna be, successful.” Cardi B’s breakout hit “Bodak Yellow” was the most streamed single by a female artist last year and since the start of the year, the track is seeing a new surge in momentum, jumping two places on the Hot 100 chart this week to No. 10. Can she repeat the same level of success this year with her pending debut album?

Gully Bop Says Shauna Chyn Dead To Him Denies Being Homeless

Gully Bop says he has finally found true love and Shauna Chyn is dead to him.

Gully Bop’s viral days as a dancehall artist maybe over but that doesn’t mean he has given up on his career or has any plans to come out of the public eye. The “Wuk Off A Me” deejay spoke with journalists earlier this week in the company of his new girlfriend. He opened up about the current state of his career and some recent comments made by his ex-girlfriend Shauna Chyn about what she has done for his career.

According to Bop, Chyn didn’t do anything for his career and it fact its the other way around, he is the one who elevated her career. “A me see Chyn and say yea a 20 year me no chuck on a woman inna me bed,” Gully Bop said. “A round a Frens For Real studio me know the chiney girl not even ina one good shoes. In the end, their relationship didn’t last and ended in a very public breakup that saw Chyn uploading a video of Gully Bop attacking her at their home. There were also some rumors that he was homeless again and living in his car, but he denied those claims.

“I don’t live in my car, I have my house. Grants Pen people use to say I was ungrateful ’cause me no come back round dem. Now me come back round dem and mi hear a whole heap a criticism,” Bop said. He added that the rumors started when someone saw him taking a nap inside his car.

Can JAY-Z Take Home The “Song of The Year” Grammy ?

Can JAY-Z take home the covetous Song of the Year Grammy award at the 60th Grammy’s?

Last year gave rise to numerous smash hits but unfortunately only one can take home the Grammy for Song of The Year. JAY-Z had a big comeback year with a classic album 4:44 which gave rise to the title track of the same name. The album was one of soul searching and admission by JAY-Z, as well as, education about money and investments and even the younger generation paused and listen to the OG speaking on a record that will go down in history as one of his best body of work to date. JAY-Z lead the Grammy nominations with eight nods with Kendrick Lamar right behind him with seven.

Whether or not he will win the Song of the Year Grammy is still up for debate, because he has some stiff competition since last year was a big year for music. Hov is one of five artists nominated for Song of the Year for his single “4:44”. The other contenders are Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber “Decpacito”, Julia Michaels with her single “Issues”, Logic featuring Alessia Cara & Khalid with “1-800-273-8255” and Bruno Mars “That’s What I Like”.

Despacito is the 3rd Spanish-language song in the history to make number 1 on the Billboard chart since “Macarena” in 1996 and before, was “os Lobos’s” in 1987. Despacito is not only one of the most popular song of 2017, it streamed 8.9 billion streams across platforms such as iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify etc, with 4.3 billion of those streams from YouTube. It has received Latin Grammy Awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Urban Fusion/Performance, and Best Short Form Music Video at the 18th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. “Despacito” was ranked the fifth best Latin song of all time in 2017 by Billboard and held a position in the top ten songs of the year by Time, Billboard and Rolling Stone.

Jay-Z is among the rappers who have been rocking up the Grammy awards, should he win a trophy for “4:44”, he will move up the ladder as one of the most awarded artists in the history of the Grammy’s.

Can “The Four” Reinvents Music Talent Shows: Review

Is Fox’s new show “The Four” living up the hype and can it reinvents the music talent show arena?

Music singing talent shows have been on the decline in the last few years so when the new show “The Four: Battle For Stardom ” was announced last year, everyone thought that it was going to breathe some new life into the declining reality TV format. The producers even got some big names for the judge’s chairs and tapped Black Eyed Peas member Fergie for the hosting duties. Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor and Charlie Walk took on the judges mantle.

The show aired its first episode on Thursday night on Fox and let’s say the reviews from viewers have been mostly disappointing. “The Four” didn’t just failed to grab viewers attention, it failed miserably, despite its promised to be a show unlike any other. “This is not like those other shows,” Diddy said. “I want this show to be a true reflection of the industry.”

Despite his claims that the show will not be anything like the now extinct American Idol or The Voice, it is every bit just the same, with just a few changes it the format that you will likely not notice if you’re an avid singing competition show viewer. One of the main unique features that you will likely notice is that the show starts out with a mere four contestants that we selected by the superstar judges before the live show. The show will be over six episodes where other artists are brought in to audition to battle each of the four contestants. The winner will be selected in the final episode and will be given a recording contract and be mentored by the judges. Three of these judges have their own labels so that is a big incentive to be a contestant on the show.

The original four was introduced to the audience on Thursday night and they are R&B crooner Blair Perkins, rapper Lex Lu, British pop singer Ash Minor, and Latin singer Elanase Lanson. At the very least, the show did away with the long and often drawn out audition process done by other shows like American Idol. Most of the OG talent shows produced very little mainstream success artists, so The Four is hoping to be the first show to produce more professional recording artists.

Fergie has revealed that the taping of the show was an emotional experience for her as she watched the struggle of the artists who are trying to make it big in the music business. “I know how it feels,” she said. “There are so many times that I was just tearing up and I am thinking in my head ‘Don’t lose it right now. Get it together. I can only speak for myself because I am standing right next to these artists. It was crushing. You see me holding the hand of somebody… and I am just their mommy up there. I can feel the nerves… the sweat, the shaking.’”

Nevertheless, the show is new and like a lot of new shows, it may just need some time to work its magic. Here are some of the reactions from viewers.

But no one’s given a good performance tonight? So what are we even talking about? This whole show is terrible. #TheFour

Let me just keep it a buck I WILL NEVER in my black ass life support any artist that rides the aesthetic of black art and music. Ma can take her oily dreads and fake vibes and bounce on babies #TheFour

Saeed just won the night. Any man who can deliver on a Whitney Houston song deserves a seat! #TheFour

Seeing @djkhaled and his energy is what the show needs. He knows talent when he sees it. #TheFour

…how did the 4 people already in the chairs get them? Did they compete beforehand? Are we going to get to see how they got those chairs and who they beat out to get them? I feel like it should’ve been shown before they came out to sing. #TheFour

Nicki Minaj and Quavo goes on a dinner date in the colorful video for “She For Keeps.”

The duo collaborated on the single last year and the visuals has been a long time coming. The retro cut was filmed from back in August of last year and is only being premiered at the start of the new year. The DAPS and Quavo-directed video saw the Migos rapper and Nicki Minaj going on a date where they were seated at a table designed out of a classic car.

The retro style video pays homage to the 1980s and 90s with some classic items like the original Nintendo gaming system and The Source’s Ice Cube cover from 1991. The cut started out with Quavo dressed in a neon outfit with his Reebok Pump sneaker and bright green fanny pack. You will also see Nicki Minaj making a phone call using the old school rotary phone. The pair meet up for diner where they were seated in an old school drop top Chevy.

The single “She For Keeps” was released in December as part of the Control the Streets, Vol. 1 compilation album released by Quality Control. Nicki Minaj is currently working on her new album and Migos is currently working on Culture 2, which is due this month. The two also collaborated on the single “MotorSport” with the rest of the Migos clan and Cardi B.

MGMT – Hand it over

Cause the deals we made to shake things up
In the rights that they abuse
Might just fuck us over
But the doors won’t shut
Until they’re sure there’s nothing left to use
Someone’s taking over
Threw it away, but now I say
It’s time to hand it over

The joke’s worn thin, the king stepped in
Oh, we’ll see who is who
Look who’s bending over

But the stars weren’t wrong, the time felt right
We both know it was true
The smart ones exit early
And the rest hope for a shoulder

If we lose our touch, it won’t mean much
If everyone’s confused
Which door do we open?

It’s the time same old trick
They played the hand
Now there’s one thing to left to do

It’s time (Hand it over)
It’s yours and it’s mine (Hand it over)
One thing on my mind (Hand it over)
It’s rightfully mine (Hand it over)
Anytime (Hand it over)
What’s yours is mine (Hand it over)
Make it right (Hand it over)
And give me what’s mine (Hand it over)

Oh, this time (Hand it over)
It’s yours and mine (Hand it over)
Hey, it’s time to hand it over
Just give me what’s mine (Hand it over)
Mmm, take your time (Hand it over)
It’s yours and it’s mine (Hand it over)
Ooh, anytime (Hand it over)
Ooh, it’s rightfully mine (Hand it over)
Oh, anytime

Kevin Gates To Be Release From Prison On Parole Next Week

Kevin Gates will walk free from prison next week Wednesday.

The Baton Rouge MC will be released on parole after serving 9 months of his 30-month sentence for a felony gun possession charge. The rapper pleaded guilty to the charge in Cook County, Illinois last year April and was sent to prison for two and a half years. The charge usually carries a maximum sentence of ten years behind bars. This is good news for Gates, who has been in the slammer even before this latest prison term.

Kevin Gates served six months in jail in Florida for an unrelated crime right before serving time in Illinois. He was sentenced to serve half a year behind bars for kicking a female fan at a concert in Florida. The entire thing was caught on camera and posted online. After serving that term, he was extradited to Illinois for an old gun charge.

Gates will be released on January 10th on parole and will be on mandatory supervision and will not be allowed to be in possession of any firearm. Seems this time he will be released from prison for real since there are no outstanding warrants out for his arrest unlike last year.

The Wallflowers – One Headlight

So long ago, I don’t remember when
That’s when they say I lost my only friend
Well they said she died easy of a broken heart disease
As I listened through the cemetery trees

I seen the sun comin’ up at the funeral at dawn
The long broken arm of human law
Now it always seemed such a waste
She always had a pretty face
So I wondered how she hung around this place

[Chorus]
Hey, come on try a little
Nothing is forever
There’s got to be something better than
In the middle
But me & Cinderella,
We put it all together
We can drive it home
With one headlight

She said it’s cold
It feels like Independence Day
And I can’t break away from this parade
But there’s got to be an opening
Somewhere here in front of me
Through this maze of ugliness and greed
And I seen the sun up ahead
At the county line bridge
Sayin’ all there’s good and nothingness is dead
We’ll run until she’s out of breath
She ran until there’s nothin’ left
She hit the end-it’s just her window ledge

[Chorus]
Hey, come on try a little
Nothing is forever
There’s got to be something better than
In the middle
But me & Cinderella,
We put it all together
We can drive it home
With one headlight

Well this place is old
It feels just like a beat up truck
I turn the engine, but the engine doesn’t turn
Well it smells of cheap wine & cigarettes
This place is always such a mess
Sometimes I think I’d like to watch it burn
I’m so alone, and I feel just like somebody else
Man, I ain’t changed, but I know I ain’t the same
But somewhere here in between the city walls of dyin’ dreams
I think her death it must be killin’ me

[Chorus]
Hey, come on try a little
Nothing is forever
There’s got to be something better than
In the middle
But me & Cinderella,
We put it all together
We can drive it home
With one headlight

Corey Hart – Eurasian Eyes

Eurasian eyes are watchin’ me
Like a river, o you flow through me
Eurasian eyes are runnin’ still
Whispered moments cut the chill
When eurasian eyes are watchin’ me

Do you feel the passion in me

Cos I’m the one that said I’d never care
For someone like you
Now I’m the one who lacks the eloquence to say

(To say) that when the world is cold
With no one to hold
I can only see eurasian eyes
Love won’t lie
‘cause the truth would cry
That I can only see eurasian eyes

Eurasian eyes inspire me
Look for the magic until I see
Eurasian eyes so honestly

Do you feel the passion in me
‘cause I’m the one that said I’d never care
For someone like you
Now you’re inside me and I won’t defend
What I want to do for you

(But I said)
Now I’m the one who lacks the eloquence
To say, to say

When the world is cold
With no one to hold
I can only see eurasian eyes
(You know) if love won’t lie
Cos the truth would cry
I can only see eurasian eyes
And if my heart is blind
Then why do I find
That I can only see eurasian eyes

When the world is cold
With no one to hold
I can only see eurasian eyes
(You know) if love won’t lie
Cos the truth would cry
I can only see eurasian eyes
And if my heart is blind
Then why do I find
That I can only see eurasian eyes

This could be the right one, I’m not really sure
This could be the right one, I’ve never felt love like this before
I’m actin’ like a lover that’s out of control
Makin’ you promises and actin’ a fool
I’m goin’ through somethin’ that I don’t understand
I know that I need you and I’ll do what I can, cause

I just wanna please you (I just wanna please you)
To give you pleasure is a pleasure for me
I’ve always tried to walk away from lovers
It’s too big a heartache, when there’s always another
I run for cover but I keep in touch
I’ve learned to care, but not too much, cause

This could be the right one (this could be the right one)

This could be the right one, this could be the one we’re waiting for
This could be the right one (this could be the right one)

They say that it could happen, I’m certain it’s true
Wouldn’t it be somethin’ (wouldn’t it be somethin’)
Wouldn’t it be somethin’ if it happened to me and you
All the glory of a new romance
I never wanted to take that chance
Foresaking all caution, no need to pretend
We’re caught in our passion, our fate in the wind, cause

This could be the right one (this could be the right one)
This could be the only one (this could be the only one)
This could be the right one, this could be the one we’re waiting for

You bring me up, you bring me down
You find the words to turn me around and around
Wait (wait), let’s take our time, let’s be sure
I say wait (wait), careful now, let’s understand, what’s in store, cause

Haywire – Dance Desire

Drop the needle!
Saw something inside of you
I wanted to get through to you
The only thing I knew
Tall dark danger
That l___ for sin
Honey, you’re what I’ve been lookin’ for
Baby crawl right in
Oooh, wash over me baby
It’s much more than a dream
Feelin’ warm feelin’ crazy
Do it now, show your stuff
Come on
Dance desire, dance desire
Me having you ain’t all we can do to
Dance desire, dance desire
Nothing to do with love
Don’t confuse it
A million times have I seen
That recurring dream
That it became so natural
What you did to me
When I awoke, there you stood
Much to my surprise
You had seen what I had seen
The magic in your eyes
Oooh, wash over me baby
It’s much more than a dream
Feelin’ warm feelin’ crazy
Do it now, show it off
Bedroom jammin’
What it’s all about
Dance desire, dance desire
Me having you ain’t all we can do to
Dance desire, dance desire
Nothing to do with love
Don’t confuse it
Oooh, wash over me baby
It’s much more than a dream
Yeah feelin’ warm feelin’ crazy
Do it now, show it off
Bedroom jammin’
What it’s all about
Dance desire, dance desire
Me having you ain’t all we can do to
Dance desire, dance desire
Nothing to do with love
Don’t confuse it
Dance desire, dance desire
Me having you ain’t all we can do to
Dance desire, dance desire
Nothing to do with love
No, Hah
You are such a sweet thing
Bells inside my head ring
Taste is still in my mouth
Nah spit it out

Sass Jordan – Stranger Than Paradise

Strange stranger than paradise
Water is turning into ice
Don’t have to say it’s over

You heard me saying that I
Don’t want to stay around
And like a sleight of hand
You’re lost while I am found

Love starting to play the game
Something was said to hide the pain
Something is changing how I feel
I don’t think you see me as I am

Starting is easy I have found
In planting a seed you touch the ground
But planting the seed doesn’t make it grow

I owe an explanation
You owe an open mind
But when we’re both upset
The words are so unkind

I want to run away
Or cut you down to size
I don’t think I can keep
Tears from my eyes

You told me all your dreams
I still believe in you
But I’ve got my dreams too
And I have got to go

You know this gets me down
How can you watch me turn around
Why does my leaving break your heart
I don’t think you see me as I am

Starting is easy I have found
In planting a seed you touch the ground
But planting the seed doesn’t make it grow

Though I can’t say
I know goodbye’s the only way
I try to hide but every single day
I know goodbye
Goodbye’s the only way

Mitsou – Dis Moi Dis Moi (Censored)

Mais qu’est-ce que je fait faire de toi?

Oh! Dis-moi, dis-moi, dis-moi, dis-moi
Ce que je vais faire de toi

Je ne veux pas de toi
Tu ne veux que de moi
J’ai de toi plein les bras
Je t’ai rendu fou
Tu me suis partout
T’es pendu à mon cou
T’as pas compris, c’est terminé
Maintenant il faut t’en aller

T’aurais bien voulu me faire craquer
avec tes idées
T’aurais bien voulu me faire craquer
avec tes idées

[REFRAIN]
J’ai pas souri, j’ai pas dansé
Mais tu m’as remarqué
J’ai pas menti, j’ai pas joué
Mais tu m’as remarqué
Je t’ai fais courir, j’t’ai fais marcher
Mais t’as voulu rester
Tu me fais bien rire
T’es à mes pieds
Tu peux bien t’en aller

C’est vrai t’es pas mal
Mais t’es pas vraiment l’homme idéal
J’te suivrai jamais pas à pas
J’suis pas une fille comme ça
T’as voulu entrer dans ma vie
Alors fais ce que je te dis
T’as trop compté sur moi
Tant pis c’est fini, t’est cuit

Tu vois t’es encore après moi
Tu ferais n’importe quoi
Tu voudrais me garder pour toi
T’es jaloux mais je m’en fous

J’suis pas à toi
T’as rien gagné
T’as trop imaginé
Tu peux toujours me supplier
Tu devrais m’oublier

T’aurais bien voulu me faire craquer
avec tes idées
T’aurais bien voulu me faire craquer
avec tes idées

J’ai pas souri, j’ai pas dansé
Mais tu m’as remarqué
J’ai pas menti, j’ai pas joué

Je t’ai fais courir, j’t’ai fais marcher
Mais t’as voulu rester
Tu me fais bien rire
