How to Create Kaia Gerber’s Festival-Ready Makeup in 5 Steps

In addition to wardrobe inspiration and a hefty shopping list, New York Fashion Week gave us a beauty look that we’re taking into festival season.

Cue Kaia Gerber‘s pink and purple eye makeup from the Anna Sui Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2018 runway, courtesy of Pat McGrath.

The runway look features a hot pink hue toward the inner corner of the eye, going up to the brow bone. Then, makeup artists created a graphic liner at the crease of the eye with a bright purple product. In the center of the eyes, the pros added a silver highlight to make the look pop.

All the Best Actress Oscar Looks Over the Years

Who will take home the Academy Award for Best Actress come Sunday?

It could be Meryl Streep in a draped, long-sleeve stunner…or Margot Robbie in Miu Miu, like she wore at the 2018 SAG Awards…or Saoirse Ronan, the season’s red carpet darling, in any of the couture houses. The truth is you never know who will go home with the golden statue—and what they’ll be wearing—but one thing is for sure: Whomever wins the Best Actress category will also go down in fashion history.

No one can forget Jennifer Lawrence‘s 2013 win in that strapless, structural Christian Dior gown, which may have been so tough to walk in that J.Law tripped on the way to accepting her award. There was Julianne Moore‘s 2015 custom Chanel dress that sparkled as the A-lister glowed. Of course, who could forget Halle Berry‘s epic and historic 2002 sheer Elie Saab look?

Meghan Markle Shuts Down This Major Misconception About Women’s Empowerment

Much like women everywhere, Meghan Markle doesn’t need to find her voice—she already has one and she’s using it.

The future royal made that clear when she took the stage at the first annual Royal Foundation Forum on Wednesday in London. Flanked by her future husband, Prince Harry, and future sister-in-law, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, the American star eloquently tackled several questions, including her thoughts on the Royal Foundation and her future plans to contribute as a member of the royal family.

Having already devoted much of her time championing on behalf of women and girls, the former Suits actress and ongoing activist has been working “quietly” behind the scenes with organizations in preparation to take her official post after her May nuptials.

While discussing her intentions for her part in the foundation, Markle highlighted an important distinction about the kind of work she—and everyone else—needs to focus on in the realm of empowering women and girls.

Meghan Markle’s Bond With Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton Is “Togetherness at Its Finest”

For Meghan Markle, working alongside Prince Harry and her future in-laws is “togetherness at its finest.”

The former Suits star weighed in on joining the royal family business on Wednesday during her first official engagement with her fiancé, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The royals and the actress were part of a panel to discuss their work and vision for The Royal Foundation. During the discussion, moderator and BBC journalist Tina Daheley asked the group if they ever have disagreements as a family.

“Oh, yes!” William said, spurring laughter from the audience.

Harry described the bouts as “healthy disagreements” and considered differing viewpoints a benefit.

“I think it’s really good that we’ve got, you know, four different personalities,” he said, “and, you know, we’ve all got that same passion to want to make a difference but, you know, different opinions. And I think those opinions work really, really well.”

Still, the future groom acknowledged that “working as family does have its challenges.”

“Of course it does,” he said, leading to more laughter from the audience. “The fact that everyone’s laughing means everyone knows exactly what I’m implying. We’re stuck together for the rest of our lives so.”

However, Meghan seemed happy with that idea.

“Togetherness at it’s finest, really,” she added.

But back to the blobfish: Anderson tweeted a selfie of herself with the prop and you can tell the little creature holds a special place in her heart.

“The blobfish has no dialogue,” Duchovny said.

“Uh-uh, no,” Anderson added. “But it looks a lot like our son.”

“But,” Duchovny said, “it’s an amazing looking—”

“Prosthetic?” Anderson interjected.

Stan Lee Reveals He’s Fighting Pneumonia at Age 95

Stan Lee is battling pneumonia at the age of 95.

Following his recent hospitalization, the soft-spoken Marvel Comics legend recorded a video message and shared it with TMZ Wednesday night. “Hi, heroes. This is Stan Lee. I haven’t been in touch with you lately. I have a little bout of pneumonia I’ve been fighting, but it seems to be getting better. But I want you all to know I’m thinking of you—of course, I always think of the fans—and I hope you’re all doing well, and I miss you all,” he said. “I miss your enthusiasm. I miss all the notes and the photos and the e-mails that I used to get, and I still get a lot of them.”

Dressed in a yellow cardigan and khaki pants, Lee continued, “I want you to know that I still love you all. I think that Marvel and Spidey and I have the best group of fans that any group in the world ever had, and I sure appreciate it. Let me know how you’re doing. I hope everything is going well for you, and I hope the next time we talk, I will be in even better shape. Maybe I’ll have some of this pneumonia knocked down and we can have some real fun over the internet.”

The Exact Eye Creams Celebrities Use on Award Show Red Carpets

One of the most frequently asked questions a beauty editor gets is: “Should I use eye cream?”

Cue the follow-up: “Which one should I use?”

While the stars have their favorites, on award season red carpets they defer to their makeup artists—who, in full transparency, typically have a deal with a beauty brand to use its product. The upside for us is that we get to know and see how the exact product wears, under intense lighting and tons of makeup, on a variety of skin tones, types and ages.

For instance, it might be interesting to know that Chrissy Teigengets prepped with red carpet staple La Mer, while Uzo Aduba used a luxury Japanese brand, which is also used in many beauty looks in major motion pictures. Or that although most eye treatments on the red carpet ring in at a hefty price, Alison Brie‘s makeup artist used an $18 drugstore find to soothe the sensitive skin around the eyes.

Kevin Smith Fights Back Tears While Reflecting on His Life After “Massive” Heart Attack

In the face of death, Kevin Smith was looking back on an “incredible” life.

At 47 years old, the famed comedian suffered a “massive” heart attack Sunday night. As he later explained, his LAD artery was completely blocked, triggering the attack and his emergency hospitalization in the midst of filming a stand-up special, Kevin Smith Live!, in Glendale, Calif.

Two days later, the star was on the mend and addressed his concerned fans and followers in a Facebook Live from his hospital room—robe and all. “Hey, it’s me. I’m fine…kinda,” the lighthearted jokester began.

Yes, Retta Performs Stand-Up at Her Friends’ Artificial Insemination

So, the two comediennes went to the infertility clinic for the artificial insemination. After the procedure, the husband invited Retta into the room to have her perform her opening act.

“He has set up, like, a music intro,” Retta said. “Next thing you know, he comes out with a rainbow afro, like a clown afro, and he’s doing a whole thing. He was opening the ‘show.”’

As Retta started her routine, a bunch of nurses started to peek inside the room. However, the show came to a halt when a doctor came inside and reprimanded them for the performance.

“I was like, ‘Brah, this wasn’t me!'” she recalled.

Ireland Baldwin Fulfills Childhood Dream With Nude Photo Spread for PETA

Ireland Baldwin is fur-free and proud.

E! News has an exclusive look at the 22-year-old model’s PETA campaign, which comes almost 25 years after her model mama Kim Basinger famously posed nude in support of the animal rights organization.

Ireland (whose father is actor Alec Baldwin) rocks nothing but her birthday suit in the black and white snapshot, as the phrase “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” covers her body parts. As the blond bombshell explains in an accompanying video, working with PETA was a lifelong goal for Ireland.

“I saw the images from when my mom shot this campaign so it’s something I’ve aspired to do,” she says. “Since I was a little girl I wanted to do something for PETA.”

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton Take Center Stage in Coordinated Shades of Blue

Meghan Marklehas a friend in Duchess of Cambridge—and future sister-in-law—Kate Middleton

Having called her future relative “wonderful” from the start, the American actress and expectant royal clearly have an affinity for each other—one that took center stage on Wednesday as the two sat side by side to discuss the Royal Foundation and their future work within it. While Markle is not officially tied to the royal family just yet, the Los Angeles-born activist appears to be in sync with the woman who has already experienced everything that is in store for the former Suits star.

Sartorially speaking, they kept to the same color family. “Both women were resplendent in shades of blue, which was undoubtedly coordinated, and looked at ease with each other and in taking the stage for the first time together,” Meghan’s Mirror editor Amanda Dishaw told E! News.

Middleton opted for a royal blue peplum maternity dress by Seraphine, while Markle sported a darker blue sleeveless belted wrap dress by Jason Wu—a departure from the blouse and pant combinations she’s been wearing as of late. “Some of our readers were initially worried we might not see Meghan in a dress until the wedding based on her record of wearing trousers to royal events recently, but she showed us today that she’s all about mixing it up, wearing a classic yet chic satin Jason Wu dress,” Dishaw pointed out.

James Corden Roasts Absent Tom Hanks at Star-Studded Breast Cancer Research Benefit

Watch out, Tom HanksJames Corden is calling you out.

Well, playfully, of course. The Late Late Show host and Tuesday night’s emcee for the Unforgettable Evening Gala benefitting the Women’s Breast Cancer Research Fund kicked off the event by taking verbal aim at the Oscar winner. Hanks missed out on the star-studded event, even though his longtime wife Rita Wilson, who is one of the leaders of the fund, was in attendance.

“Unfortunately Tom Hanks could not make it tonight,” Corden quipped. “He does not support cancer research. He’s very humble about it. The tide is about to turn on that guy… “

Keith Richards Says Mick Jagger Needs to Get a Vasectomy

Keith Richards gets a little snippy in WSJ. Magazine‘s March Men’s Style Issue.

Mick Jagger, who welcomed his eighth child at age 73, is “a randy old bastard,” the Rolling Stones guitarist says. “It’s time for the snip—you can’t be a father at that age. Those poor kids!”

(After the magazine’s interview was published online and went viral, Richards issued a statement to E! News. “I deeply regret the comments I made about Mick in the WSJ., which were completely out of line,” the rocker said. I have of course apologized to him in person.”)

Richards, who has five kids and five grandchildren, makes no secret of his prickly relationship with the rock musician. For example, in Life, his 2010 memoir, he called Jagger “unbearable” and ridiculed his “tiny” penis. “Mick and I would have spats anyway, no matter what I said in the book, and I left a lot out,” he says. But, he adds, “Mick and I live off of this fire between us.”

Their tension is the secret to their success as rock legends, Richards says. “It’s been up and downhill, but if I’m talking about the Rolling Stones, there ain’t a front-man like Jagger,” he says. “Don’t matter how many bones you want to pick out of him, he’s amazing to work with.”
