Why Siesta Key Is More Than Just a Wannabe Version of The Hills

Forget about The Hills of Los Angeles. Siesta Key is the hot destination causing waves on MTV.

When the producers of Laguna Beach came up with a new docu-series that would follow a group of young adults in their beautiful hometown, fans immediately predicted that it would just be another show similar to The Hills.

But in the past few months, viewers have been captivated by Siesta Key because of its drama, suspense and differences from earlier MTV shows.

“Siesta Key naturally reflects a more modern and progressive era,” Madisson Hausburg shared with E! News ahead of the show’s season one finale airing tonight. “Siesta Key maintains the same level of drama that got us all addicted to The Hills and adds an element of relevance and social awareness.”

In the first season alone, the cast has addressed LGBTQ issues, interracial relationships and mental health. And while the show has its share of OMG moments, the cast believes viewers across the country have been able to resonate with them in various ways.

Frances McDormand’s Oscar Stolen at the 2018 Governors Ball

Frances McDormand was simultaneously a winner and a loser Sunday night.

During the 2018 Oscars, the Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri star won the award for Best Actress, beating out fellow nominees Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water), Margot Robbie (I, Tonya), Saoirse Ronan (Lady Bird) and Meryl Streep (The Post). Moments after McDormand walked offstage, Ronan “got up and ran over to Sally and summoned Meryl and Margot,” a source tells E! News. Then, the four Best Actress nominees “embraced in a big, long group hug in the aisle for the entire commercial break,” a source says. “It was amazing! Absolutely magic!”

And after McDormand walked back into the ballroom and took her seat, she was “hugging everybody,” a source said. “Everyone was cheering for her as she held her Oscar and sat down.”

Emma Watson Debuts a Time’s Up Tattoo at Vanity Fair’s 2018 Oscars After-Party

Emma Watson is wearing her heart on her arm.

The actress and activist stepped out at the annual 2018 Oscars Vanity Fair after-party Sunday night donning a black gown and what appears to be some special new body ink. “Times Up” was written in script on the 27-year-old’s forearm curiously without an apostrophe. Currently, it’s unclear if the art is permanent or temporary.

Of course, the phrase is a very direct reference to the Time’s Up movement that launched at the start of the year in response to the systemic sexual harassment, assault and inequality women have been facing at work and in their daily lives around the world.

Having already helped start the HeForShe campaign years ago, Watson once again leapt into action and committed herself to the cause so close to her heart, signing a letter of solidarity and pledging her support to the movement.

Adam Rippon Finally Meets His Crush Shawn Mendes at the 2018 Oscars

Adam Rippon didn’t take home an Oscar on Sunday, but he still had his own memorable moment when he finally met his celebrity crush Shawn Mendes

The U.S. figure skater and the “Stitches” singer met during the 90th Academy Awards ceremony. Rippon shared a picture of the encounter on Instagram.

Rippon revealed Mendes was one of his top celebrity crushes on a recent episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. While the Olympian said he used to like Harry Styles more, he said Mendes’ looks eventually won him over.

“I was sleeping on Shawn Mendes. Not literally—but I didn’t realize how cute he was,” he told Ellen DeGeneres, later explaining that “sleeping on” was a phrase used when underestimating someone.

“Not with—on,” he clarified.

Margot Robbie’s Brother Trolls Her for Losing Best Actress at the 2018 Oscars

If you’ve ever wondered how Margot Robbie stays so grounded, look no further than her family. The producer and star of I, Tonya attended the 2018 Oscars in Hollywood Sunday, where she was nominated in the Best Actress category alongside Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water), Frances McDormand (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Saoirse Ronan (Lady Bird) and Meryl Streep (The Post). “I can’t believe I’m wearing a Haute Couture dress made for me by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel. It’s a fantasy,” the Australian actress said during ABC’s red carpet special. “I feel like myself but still as glamorous as I ever dreamed I would at the Oscars.”

Margot walked the red carpet with her mother, Sarie Kessler—and that put her brother, Cameron Robbie, into “#excitementoverload,” according to one of his Instagram Stories. He wanted to celebrate each of the film’s three nomination, but before Allison Janney was named Best Supporting actress, he suffered a minor crisis: “I have no champagne,” he realized. After literally running to the store, an “overheated” Cameron returned to his apartment just in time.

After Allison’s moment of glory, Cameron and his friend decided to pop open the bubbly. “Margot, I love you, but I need to start drinking now,” he said, noting that “tensions are high.”

Josiah Duggar Is Engaged to Lauren Swanson: “This Is an Exciting Big Step”

There’s another wedding in the works for the Duggar family!

“Lauren and I are engaged! This is an exciting big step in our lives and the whole thing was very meaningful,” the Counting On star said in a statement. The future groom also revealed that he popped the question at a very special spot. “The place where I proposed to Lauren is the exact spot where her parents were engaged. There’s a lot of family history on this property making it a special place for Lauren.” The engagement comes less than three months since the two revealed in late January that they had entered into a courtship

Oscar Winner Jordan Peele Says We’re in the Midst of a Black Cinema “Renaissance”

Jordan Peele made history at the 2018 Oscars on Sunday when he became the first African-American screenwriter to win Best Original Screenplay.

After his win, the Get Out director took to the pressroom to discuss what the award meant to him and how the moment was so much bigger than himself.

“It’s a Renaissance,” he said. “I almost never became a director [sic] because there’s such a shortage of role models. We had Spike Lee. We had John Singleton. We had the Peebleses. We had the Hughes brothers. But they felt like the exception to the rule.”

He then added, “I’m so proud to be a part of a time—the beginning of a movement, where you—where I feel like the best films in every genre are being brought to me by my fellow black directors. It’s very special, and I think that goes for all areas of inclusion, but it’s quite clear with the work that Ava [DuVernay] is doing, that Ryan [Coogler] is doing, F. Gary Gray, Barry [Jenkins], that this is a very special time.”

Law and Order: SVU Bringing Back Stephanie March as Alex Cabot for April Episode

Call a bus! A fan favorite Law & Order: SVU character is making her comeback. Stephanie March will return to the long-running NBC drama as Alexandra Cabot, a character she originated in season two of SVU, in April.

“It is a thrill to welcome Stephanie back to the SVU family, even for a short visit,” executive producer and showrunner Michael Chernuchin said in a statement. “She is, and will always be, part of SVU’s DNA.”

In “Sunk Cost Fallacy,” the search for an abducted woman and her daughter leads Benson (Mariska Hargitay) to cross paths with Cabot.

She was a series regular from seasons two-five before her character’s death was faked and she went into the Witness Protection Program. Cabot returned in season six, only to go back into the Program again. She made an appearance in season 10 and was a series regular in season 11.

Bellamy Young Admits No Other Job Will Ever Compare to Her “Special” Scandal Family

Though the end is near, Young and her co-star Darby Stanchfield said that, despite the sadness, they’re just thankful that they had the opportunity to work together for one last run of episodes. “We’re so grateful that we knew, though, because what if they called us and said, ‘Oh, that last season you did was your last season,'” she said. “So, it’s been a year of, like, a victory lap. We’ve gotten to really appreciate every, every moment.”

“18 episodes to enjoy every moment and then begin to say goodbye,” Stanchfield added.

“Enough talking,” Blige smiled. “I’m gonna go party now!”

And party she did!

Blige was also spotted at Vanity Fair’s after-party, posing with Sean "Diddy" Combs and Kobe Bryant

What a night!

Charlie Puth – Patient Lyrics

These mistakes I
Made (..)
When you needed me
I wasn’t there

I was young, I was dumb
I was so immature
And the things that I did
Made you so insecure
But baby, I’m still your man I swear

Please be patient with me
Please be patient with me
I know I’m not what you need
But baby I’m gonna be
So please be patient with me

Is it to much that I’m asking for?
Can we start over?
Can we end this war?

I’ve been taking your love
I’ve been wasting your time
But is there still a chance
That may changing your mind before you
Go walking out the door

Oh you know I’m not perfect
If you leave I deserve it
But baby all I’m asking you
Is please please oh

Please be patient with me
Please be patient with me
I know I’m not what you need
But baby I’m gonna be
So please be patient with me

Oh you don’t wanna wait another minute
You don’t wanna wait another night
Just trust me, Just trust me, Just trust me
Oh you don’t wanna wait another minute
You don’t wanna wait another night
Just trust me, Just trust me, Just trust me

Please be patient with me
Please be patient with me
I know I’m not what you need
But baby I’m gonna be
So please be patient with me

Please be patient with me
Please be patient with me
I know I’m not what you need
But baby I’m gonna be
So please be patient with me
