Nickelodeon is bringing back another classic children’s TV show with a Blue’s Clues reboot. We’re calling this a reboot because the network is on the hunt for a new host to helm the 20-episode iteration. Sorry Steve and Joe!
This is just the latest reboot/revival for Nickelodeon. In a TV landscape obsessed with breaking through the clutter of endless channels and streaming services with original programming recapturing viewers of yore, it actually makes sense for Nick to mine its programming library more than any other network.
The new Blue’s Clues will have a “refreshed signature look” and production is planned to begin summer 2018. For your chance to become the new Steve, head over to Nickelodeon’s casting site.
Demi Lovato is giving her heart a break—for now, at least.
Gracing the April cover of InStyle (on newsstands March 16), the “Tell Me You Love Me” singer—who is currently on tour with DJ Khaled—speaks about adjusting to life as a single woman in her twenties. “I’m not suffering because I’m alone. There were many years I was in a relationship and I wasn’t learning about myself,” says Lovato, who recently reconnected with her ex, Wilmer Valderrama. “Now I’m learning about what I like, what I need, and what I want.”
Lovato is open to dating both men and women. “I’m very fluid, and I think love is love. You can find it in any gender,” she argues. “I like the freedom of being able to flirt with whoever I want.”
“I’m normally the first one to make the move. I’m always the one who says, ‘Let me get your number,'” adds Lovato, who uses an online dating app. “Or I slide into their DMs on Instagram.”
Jan. 11: A source tells E! News Arie and Becca’s break-up at the Happy Couple Weekend apartment in Los Angeles was filmed on this day.
Jan. 12: Our source adds this is the day Arie flew to Virginia Beach to tell Lauren (at her parent’s home) that he officially broke up with Becca and wanted to give their relationship another shot.
Love isn’t dead after all!
A week after Queer Eye contestant Tom Jackson told fans he didn’t win back his ex-wife Abby from the show, he revived viewers’ faith in love by announcing the two are back together.
“So happy to say that Abby and I are reunited,” he tweeted on Tuesday along with a photo of the happy couple. “We’ve loved each other for many years and we want to spend the rest of our lives together!!!!!!!!”
Even the Netflix show was excited about the news.
“PLOT TWIST! Tom is off the market because he’s BACK WITH ABBY,” the show’s Twitter account posted. “We can’t handle this emotional rollercoaster.”
It’s been nearly a year since TJ Miller said goodbye to Silicon Valley and now we’re hearing the show’s side of the tumultuous story.
In a candid interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the HBO series’ co-creator and co-executive producer Mike Judge said it “just wasn’t working.”
“There are a lot of different ways you can find out somebody doesn’t want to do the show anymore,” Judge told the magazine. “And it’s not fun to work with someone who doesn’t want to be there, [especially when] they’re one of the main people and you’ve got however many crewmembers and extras and people who are [not paid as well] and they’re all showing up before 7 a.m., and then are just like, ‘Oh, OK, we’re not shooting today.'”
THR cited multiple show sources who claimed there were times the actor, who played longtime central character Erlich Bachman through season four, would arrive “under the influence.” His lateness, according to the magazine, would complicate schedules and, per insiders, he would fall asleep between takes.
Las Vegas is about to get a little bit more country this spring!
Less than a week after The Academy of Country Music announced that Reba McEntire will host the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards, E! News is learning more about who will be attending and performing live.
We are excited to confirm Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley and Thomas Rhett will all perform at the award show from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
But wait, there’s more!
Florida Georgia Line will join BeBe Rexha onstage for a performance of their crossover hit “Meant to Be.”
Paris Jackson is happy in the skin she’s in.
Overnight, the late Michael Jackson‘s daughter took to Twitter to make a request. “i appreciate everything y’all make for me, i enjoy every single edit i see. but please stop lightening my skin to make me look more white. and please stop darkening my skin to make me look more mixed,” the teen star tweeted. “i am what i am. I’m aware of what i look like and i finally happy with it.”
Paris, who often shares fans’ edits on Instagram Stories, spoke about her racial identity in a 2017 Rolling Stone cover story. “I consider myself black,” she said, adding that her dad “would look me in the eyes and he’d point his finger at me and he’d be like, ‘You’re black. Be proud of your roots.’ And I’d be like, ‘OK, he’s my dad, why would he lie to me?’ So, I just believe what he told me, ’cause, to my knowledge, he’s never lied to me.” The Hollywood scion understood people’s confusion, explaining, “Most people that don’t know me call me white. I’ve got light skin and, especially since I’ve had my hair blond, I look like I was born in Finland or something.”
Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines are expecting a baby boy!
Chip announced the news in a tweeted video on Wednesday. The clip shows the Fixer Upper star asking a young boy named Gage for baby name ideas. The shiplap sweethearts met the child at the Tim Tebow Foundation’s recent golf outing.
“We’re just about to have another little baby, because Uncle Chip lost his mind,” Chip told the youngster, producing a laugh. “Now, listen to this. This is important: I can’t think of a ‘D’ name. So, can you help me think of a ‘D’ name?”
Chip and Joanna already have two boys whose names start with the letter D: Drake, 12, and Duke, 9. They also have two girls: Ella, 11, and Emmie Kay, 7.
Chip then told Gage Joanna is pregnant with a little boy.
“Is that a secret? I don’t know. That might not even be allowed on Twitter,” the HGTV star said. “You better keep that to yourself, dude. But listen to me: It’s a little boy, and I need a ‘D’ name. And so far, all I can come up with is Dragon. [Joanna was] like, ‘You are not calling that baby Dragon!’ Can you help me?”
Chip was happy to have Gage share the big news.
“Alright, alright.. if we’re going to announce the gender of our 5th child. It might as well come from my new friend #Gage,” he tweeted along with the video. “Take it away my man. @tebowfoundation.”
Ever since the reboot of Queer Eye hit Netflix last month, there are a lot of questions everyone has been asking.
Which guy does the most work? Why does Bobby barely get any screen time? Is it because he does the most work? Can Tan please come to my house and save me from myself? Which queer guy is the best queer guy and why is or isn’t it Jonathan?
But perhaps the biggest question many have had is: Can Antoni actually cook?
Antoni Porowski, the show’s so-called “food and wine” expert, is extremely cute and charming, but in one episode, he teaches a Nascar-loving cop to make a salad of sliced grapefruit and avocado, so some have wondered if his face and calming voice and love of slicing things is distracting us from the fact that he’s kinda silly.
As for the DMs Bekah posted, one was Arie messaging her on Feb. 2 (after the show) about a picture showing Bekah’s face on a milk carton in reference to her missing persons list mix-up. The second one, sent on Feb. 3, was in reference to Bekah’s age, saying, “just realized you were born the same year as my first 2-on-1.”
Bekah also tweeted how she felt about Arie’s decision to have his break-up with Becca filmed, writing, “hahahahahaha @ariejr is the biggest f–king tool I’ve ever seen. Becca is a queen. A goddess. Thank the LORD he’s out of her life.”
Serena Williams is making her return to the tennis courts just in time for International Women’s Day.
The new mom told her followers on Instagram, “This Thursday I will start playing tennis again professionally for the first time since giving birth to my daughter.” So, in homage to both her comeback and her charity, which supports the Yetunde Price Resource center, the tennis champion has created a gold-toned “S” pin.
Fans who attend her matches at Indian Wells and in Miami are encouraged to join Williams on her “long journey back” by picking up the pin at her booth and wearing it when she plays.
They say a dog is man’s best friend—and that definitely rings true for Chrissy Teigen and her family.
Sadly, today Teigen had to say goodbye to her beloved and oldest canine friend, Puddy.
The pregnant model lovingly referred to the bulldog as her “first born,” since the pup was with her and John Legend long before baby Luna was born. The oldest pup is survived by Pablo the bulldog, Penny the frenchie and Pippa the frenchie.
Naturally, the Lip Sync Battle commentator took to social media to share her heartfelt messages for her late friend. Read some of her posts in memory of Puddy below:
On Monday’s finale episode, we saw Arie get down on one knee and propose to Becca with a Neil Lane ring. E! News confirmed earlier this week that Arie proposed to Becca with a three-carat oval diamond sparkler.
Gary Oldman‘s son has taken a public stand in support of his father.
On the heels of resurfaced reports regarding 2001 domestic violence accusations against the actor from his third ex-wife, the new Oscar winner’s son, Gulliver Oldman, has issued a public letter fiercely defending his dad. In the lengthy statement, the 20-year-old son of Gary and Donya Fiorentino called the rehashed claims “false allegations,” took aim at The Daily Mail‘s February interview with Fiorentino, in which she described their allegedly turbulent marriage, and at “clickbait journalism” and the “judgment by headline” that can ensue in the digital age.
“There is good reason that these specific articles and accusations subsided years ago,” Gulliver wrote. “In my eyes it is disgusting that so called ‘journalists’ have seen fit to spread and perpetuate the lie.”
And while the entire two-minute video is plenty juicy, with big drama ahead as the ladies try to get to the bottom of Ms. Huger’s financial situation and Monique seems on the verge of some sort of breakdown, there are a few moments that stood out to us as perfect highlights of this group of ladies’ unique set of charms: namely, throwing shade like nobody’s business.
1. “Read my f–king lips: Karen is debt-free and loaded.”—Karen, setting the record straight for all the haters. (Though, doth the lady protest too much?)
2. “We’ve got to do a drive-by.”—Gizelle’s plan when Ashley mentions talk that Karen doesn’t even live in that new house of hers in Great Falls. (The cut to Robyn in a hilarious pizza man disguise is inspired and well worth the price of admission alone.)
3. “She woke up in a ditch.”—Gizelle, talking about Monique, we think.
4. “Y’all ain’t no friends of mine to sit there and say that you’re concerned, but I’m throwing shade and I’m throwing hate and I’m throwing lies. That’s what y’all do. Bottom-behind tricks!”—Monique, introducing us to our newest favorite insult.
