Former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama may be trying their hands at something new—Netflix!
According to The New York Times, the 44th president of the United States and his right-hand woman may be heading into the world of entertainment by producing a series of “high-profile shows” for the streaming company. Per the report and others, the politician is currently in “advanced” negotiations to provide exclusive content to stream with his wife, but the format and further details have not yet been set. Netflix had no comment on the report.
As the NYT described, the deal would provide Obama with another unfiltered connection to the public much like social media. On Instagram alone, he has already amassed more than 17 million followers.
For Chrissy, Tyler bringing up this big trip was all the validation she needed.
“It was of course a shock to everyone, you know. As Tyler stated, he was planning a trip and had bought a car. That of course validated that he was talking about our dear friend,” Chrissy says.
As the reading proceeds, Tyler is hit with more information about this individual’s death, including who was there when he died.
“It’s a feeling of more than one person being around at the time that I die. There’s something with this where it’s like, ‘We’re having more of a minor thing and you kill me!'” Tyler says. “There’s just this feeling of needing us to know justice will be served, but I don’t think justice has been served fully yet.”

Rose Leslie is no stranger to playing characters facing indomitable odds on television, now her turn as Maia Rindell on The Good Fight has the actress facing them in a TV courtroom.
Leslie made a splash on Downton Abbey as Gwen, a housemaid who longed for a better life outside of the downstairs. Her character eventually left the service industry with the help of Lady Sybil. To American viewers, she followed up Downton Abbey with Game of Thrones where she played Ygritte, the Wildling warrior and romantic interest for Jon Snow (played by her real-life fiancé Kit Harington). The character was adorned in furs with a dirt smudged face, slung bows and arrows and charged into battles with the best of them. Now, Leslie’s TV battles are little more civilized, but which does she find the more formidable character?
Jessica Chastain is a girls’ girl, through and through.
On International Women’s Day, hairstylist Renato Campora took a photo of the X-Men: Dark Phoenix actress with the message “We Should All Be Feminists” emblazoned across her T-shirt. To celebrate the movement’s momentum, she re-posted the image on her Instagram account, captioning it, “FEMINISM: the theory of the political, economic and social equality of the sexes.”
But one Instagram user, Karin Hallsten Schulz, responded critically to Chastain’s image. “Yes, feminist that believe in God and stand up for The Unborn. I would be for that kind of feminist,” she wrote in the comments. Showing compassion, Chastain spent time learning about Schulz’s story. “Yes, you can decide what is right for you. I am pro-choice and I believe that everyone has the right to make their own decision. I read about your journey to become a mother and it broke my heart,” she said. “I hope that your dream will come true in 2018! Much love to you.”
No details about how Dr. Arizona Robbins and Dr. April Kepner will be written out have been released. Both actresses penned notes to fans and series creator Shonda Rhimes praised their contributions to the series.
When it comes to his anxiety, Carson Daly has decided to be an open book.
Inspired by NBA pro Kevin Love, who recently spoke publicly about the panic attacks he suffers, the Today co-host took a note from Love’s playbook and revealed his own ongoing battle with generalized anxiety disorder.
“Looking back on my life I was a worry wart kid,” the 44-year-old television personality said in an interview on Friday morning’s broadcast. “I’ve been nervous my whole life.”
The Voice host went on to explain that he suffered his first panic attack while a VJ on TRL, though at the time, he didn’t know what it was. The anxiety continued to ramp up as he was in the throes of swift Hollywood success. “I had a hard time breathing. I was terrified for no apparent reason,” Daly described.
Sam Smith wasn’t afraid to poke fun at his recent makeout session with Brandon Flynn.
During Friday’s episode of BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw, the 25-year-old singer spoke about his steamy smooch captured by paparazzi and called it a “joke.”
“It was a joke—as a joke we were attacking each other,” he said (per Cosmopolitan U.K.). “We were just waiting outside the shop while my sister got cigarettes. I was just joking. I was literally licking his eyeballs. [The photos are] horrendous. I’m going to have to do something crazy to top it.”
Smith even compared the kiss to a famous scene in The Little Mermaid.
“He looks like Ursula sucking the voice out of Ariel,” he said (per the magazine). “It’s so embarrassing.”
Kristen Wiig is officially joining the DC Comics universe.
After reports took over the Internet claiming that the comedian was in talks to join the Wonder Woman franchise for the upcoming sequel, the film’s revered director Patty Jenkins put any doubts to rest with one swift tweet.
“So excited to confirm the most thrilling news. Yes! It’s true! So incredibly lucky to welcome the sensationally talented Kristen Wiig to our Wonder Woman family,” she wrote to fans on Friday. “Can’t wait to finally work with one of my favorites. And SO excited by what we have planned. #Cheetah!!! @GalGadot.”
With that well-placed hashtag, it also sounds like Jenkins confirmed Wiig’s speculated role as Cheetah, the sequel’s villain and Wonder Woman’s longtime comic book rival with superhuman strength and agility who hungers for human flesh. That’s right—the traditionally funny lady will be taking a menacing turn for her new action role.
Director Ryan Coogler‘s Black Panther is expected to cross the $1 billion mark at the box office this weekend, making it the fifth Marvel Studios movie to reach that benchmark. Led by Chadwick Boseman in the titular role, it will be the 33rd film in history to accomplish that feat.
Fans of the film will get to see more of Wakanda and its citizens in Avengers: Infinity War (in theaters Apr. 27). Its success is a relief for Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who took a risk by including the fictional African nation in the finale of the spring blockbuster. “That’s the grand Marvel Studios/MCU tradition of just being all in, right? All in on stuff we believe in, before the audience tells us what they think. You’ve heard us talk ad nauseam about the fact that we were in production on Avengers before either Thor or Captain America was released,” he tells Entertainment Weekly. “Same thing with the whole third act of Infinity War being in Wakanda.”

Meghan King Edmonds is crazy in love with Beyoncé‘s pregnancy announcement—so much that she recreated it.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum took a page out the triple threat’s Instagram playbook and debuted a replica of Knowles’ unforgettable floral photo shoot, which famously featured the future mom of twins in a veil, bra and underwear against a colorful backdrop.
For Edmonds, who is expecting twin boys this June with husband Jim Edmonds, the image clearly made an impression on her. “If I can’t be Queen Bey I’ll settle for King Edmonds,” she captioned her version of the photos, shot by photographer Heather Mohr, in which she also donned a pink bra and blue underwear while posing under a floral arch.
However, she seemed to get ahead of any critics when Edmonds added, “#imitationisflattery.” She also noted, “#thisIsNotMyMaternityShoot.”
“I heard that Luke was coming on and we were all wondering what the third position would be and I was really gung-ho about Lionel coming in from day one,” Katy Perry revealed to E! News. “I actually made the call, and was like, ‘It’s Lionel Richie,’ because I saw him out at dinner one time…and then we crossed paths the dinner was one of those things where it got extended by two more hours. He was just telling us all these stories. It’s so interesting because you hear stories about your legends, he’s got stories on all of them!”
Richie, who joked that Perry barely got a word in during that fateful dinner, admitted he was “blown away” by the “Swish Swish” singer pushing for him to be the third judge. Add in Bryan and “forget about it, this is the best.”
As for their collective approach to judging these new generation of contestants, Perry said to expect brutal honesty as their mission is clear: “The stakes are high, especially these days in the music industry. I’m a super-realist and we only want stars.”
