Kate Middleton Keeps It Cute and Casual for Last Engagement Before Maternity Leave

Kate Middleton is squeezing in one more royal engagement before the arrival of baby no. 3.

The Duchess of Cambridge attended her last official engagement before taking maternity leave on Thursday.

Kate kept it cute and casual by wearing a cream colored coat by Goat over a Hobbs floral top and black jeans. She accessorized her look with a pair of black heels.

The soon-to-be mother of three had a packed itinerary for her final engagement. Joined by her husband Prince William, Kate started the day by stopping by the Copper Box Arena in London for a Team SportsAid event. Kate is a patron of the organization and has frequently shown her affinity for sports—doing everything from hockey, rock climbing and sailing.

“Some of you may know that I love sport,” Kate said at SportsAid’s 40th Anniversary dinner back in 2016. “I love cheering on teams and athletes that I am passionate about.  I love the physical challenge sport presents and the mental strength it gives us all.  And I love the way it so often brings people together to work as part of a team.”

Jay Leno Returns to The Tonight Show to Joke About Sexual Misconduct Scandals

“Folks, sexual harassment is a big issue. People finally are taking it seriously. In fact, scientists at Northwestern University did a study about the differences between men’s brains and women’s brains. This is fascinating. Listen to this: It seems women’s brains are located in their heads. This explains a lot! And a lot of really talented and really accomplished actors have been accused of sexual harassment. Also…Steven Seagal,” the comedian deadpanned. “In fact, I was talking about this just yesterday with my Uber driver, Kevin Spacey. It’s not just actors. Matthew Weiner, the creator of the hit show Mad Men, he’s been accused. Let me tell you something, OK? When your last name is Weiner, just introducing yourself to people is sexual harassment.”

“I’m sure you know, former congressman Anthony Weiner is in jail for sexting an underage girl. What you might not know is when he got caught, he actually called Bill Clinton to apologize. See, that’s when you know your life is going off the rails, when your sexual behavior offends Bill Clinton, OK? Matt Lauer, fired from the Today show—and Matt had to learn the hard way. When Al Roker says ‘no,’ he means ‘no.’ How about Charlie Rose walking around naked in front of interns? When did newsmen start behaving this way? I never met Walter Cronkite prancing around in front of Margaret Thatcher: ‘Take a look at that, Margaret!’ ‘And that’s the way it is.'”

After addressing “levels of sexual harassment,” he brought up Harvey Weinstein. Summarizing one woman’s story, he said, “He meets a woman in a hotel lobby, asks to go up to his room, she says no, he then opens his pants and masturbates into a potted plant. Now, admittedly I have been out of the dating game for a number of years; it’s just hard to believe the protocol has changed that much. And I gotta ask the women: Has that ever worked? A guy hits on you, you say ‘no,’ he does that and you go, ‘Oh, what a fool I was!’ How about Harvey? Has he thought it through? Let’s say the woman did change her mind—the man is 65 years old! By the time he’s done with the potted plant it’s, ‘Uh, sweetheart, you’re going to have to come back tomorrow.”

Why Station 19 Creator Stacy McKee Isn’t Feeling the Grey’s Anatomy Spinoff Pressure

While her new show was still a couple of months away from premiering when we sat down with her, Stacy McKee seemed incredibly chill for a woman with a show a couple of months away from premiering.

McKee has been a writer/producer on Grey’s Anatomy for its entire 14 season run, and now she’s in charge of its highly anticipated spinoff, Station 19—the first Grey’s spinoff since the beloved Private Practice ended in 2011. To most, that would seem like a high-pressure situation. To McKee, it’s no big thing.

“I really haven’t felt any pressure about it whatsoever,” she tells E! News to our admitted astonishment. “To me, I just walked into this as what an amazing opportunity, what a cool thing to get to do.”

McKee says she approached this spinoff the same way Shonda Rhimes herself created Grey’s Anatomy back in the day.

Drew Barrymore Reveals Why She Loves Santa Clarita Diet’s Blood and Guts (And What They’re Made Of!)

In real life, the guts and organs are just as unappetizing. “The most disgusting, weird stuff,” Barrymore said. “And I have to act like, ‘Mmm,’ it’s like ecstasy, and I’m just disgusted.”

Barrymore said the gross-looking items she eats are dried apples, wet cake, beet shakes, grains that “ferment, so by the time I eat them they’re rotten” and “plastic rubber.”

“It’s not plastic rubber,” Olyphant said.

“It is plastic rubber!” Barrymore maintained. “It’s an edible plastic rubber. It tastes like latex. It’s disgusting.”

Olyphant has not tried the TV guts, but said, “I know for a fact you cannot eat plastic rubber.”

“But there’s an edible plastic,” Barrymore continued to maintain.

Cynthia Nixon Gets Support From Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis After NY Governor Bid

Several of Cynthia Nixon‘s former Sex and the City co-stars, including Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis, have expressed support for her after she revealed that she plans on running for governor of New York.

The 51-year-old actress and liberal activist, who played lawyer Miranda Hobbs on the HBO series, announced her bid on Monday. She will challenge current governor Andrew Cuomo for the Democratic nomination. The 60-year-old politician is seeking his third term.

When asked what she thinks about Nixon running, Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones on Sex and the City, tweeted on Thursday, “I support & respect any former colleague’s right to make their own career choices.”

Davis, who played Charlotte York Goldenblatt, says she has already donated to Nixon’s campaign.

“I’m sorry I’m not in NYC to join the party tonight, but I gladly donated @CynthiaNixon for Governor!” she said on Twitter on Wednesday.

“I am so proud of @CynthiaNixon , no one cares more than she does about EVERY person getting a fair change and a good education. What Matt Damon Thinks About Ben Affleck’s Back Tattoo

Matt Damon is a good friend.

While appearing on The Daily Show on Wednesday evening, the Downsizing actor was asked about his pal Ben Affleck‘s giant back tattoo that sparked a social media frenzy over the weekend.

Just days ago, pictures surfaced of Affleck on the beach in Hawaii, sporting the colorful ink that he once claimed was fake.

So now that the tattoo mystery appears to be solved, what does Damon think about Affleck’s permanent ink?

“It’s not one man’s job to tell another man what he can do to his back,” Damon told host Trevor Noah on Wednesday’s show.

Chris Evans and Jenny Slate Break Up–Again

Unlike Jenny Slate, Chris Evans doesn’t discuss his love life.

In a New York Times profile on Evans published Thursday, Reggie Ugwu casually revealed the couple has broken up for a second time, writing that “their on-again, off-again relationship, beloved by the internet, recently ended.” Evans, for his part, did not offer additional insights, and Slate made no mention of their split when she appeared on The Late Late Show this week.

E! News has reached out to reps for Evans and Slate for comment.

Ugwu’s reference to Slate was made in regard to how Evans has been an ally to women during the #MeToo movement. “One book he found eye-opening was Rebecca Solnit’s The Mother of All Questions. Mr. Evans read it while dating the actress Jenny Slate,” Ugwu wrote, “…and decided that he needed to listen more and speak less.” Evans is outspoken about cultural and political issues on Twitter, but in the #MeToo era, he said, “The hardest thing to reconcile is that just because you have good intentions, [that] doesn’t mean it’s your time to have a voice.”

Lena Waithe Reflects on Aziz Ansari Sexual Misconduct Claims

Aziz Ansari‘s Master of None co-star Lena Waithe has weighed in again on the sexual misconduct allegations made against him, saying she hopes people now educate themselves about consent.

In January, a woman said in an interview she felt “violated” during a 2017 date with the actor and comic. He said that he and a woman had engaged in sexual activity that “by all indications was completely consensual.” Waithe told 89.3 KPCC’s The Frame after the scandal that “in every situation, it’s not always black and white,” adding, “There are no sides, really, in some of these scenarios.” The Ansari allegations had sparked much debate online about the issue of sexual consent.

Waithe, an outspoken supporter of the Time’s Up initiative to help victims of sexual harassment, touched upon this when asked about Ansari again in an April 2018 cover interview with Vanity Fair.

“At the end of the day,” she said, “what I would hope comes out of this is that we as a society…educate ourselves about what consent is—what it looks like, what it feels like, what it sounds like. I think there are both men and women who are still trying to figure it out.”
