After she was freed, Smart launched the Elizabeth Smart Foundation, which aims to stop sex-trafficking of kids and help find missing children. She also uses social media to help locate them.
Smart married Matthew Gilmour in Hawaii in 2012, and the couple has two children together, with Smart sharing the first photo of their second child in April 2017.
2017 marks the 15th anniversary of Smart’s abduction.
Close has worked with both actors. She starred with Williams in the 1982 film The World According to Garp and also had a cameo as a male pirate in Steven Spielberg‘s 1991 cult movie Hook, in which he played Peter Pan. Reeve directed Close in the 1997 TV movie In the Gloaming.
“My first connection to Christopher Reeve was through Robin Williams, when we were shooting The World According to Garp,” Close said. “On Friday evenings, Chris would literally swoop in, piloting his own plane, scoop Robin up, and away they would fly for the weekend. On Sunday, late afternoon, Chris would swoop back in and deliver Robin back—I have to say a little worse for wear.”
“Those were the heady days for them both,” she said. “They were on top of the world. They were living the kind of fast and crazy life that our business can hand to you if you become a wildly famous phenomenon, practically overnight.”

The Suits actress and Prince Harry‘s leading lady is going to Los Angeles to spend Thanksgiving with her mom, Doria Radlan. Early next week Meghan “is planning to fly to L.A. to spend Thanksgiving with her mom,” a source tells E! News exclusively.
Markle is currently in Toronto filming Suits, but “today is the last day on set for the entire cast” for the seventh season, according to the insider. This might explain why Markle couldn’t make it to pal Serena Williams‘ wedding Thursday in New Orleans.
The Lion King’s “Circle of Life” and Beauty and the Beast’s “Be Our Guest” were also played at one point during the celebration.
Another unexpected moment happened late into the evening when R&B group New Edition appeared for a performance. And yes, Alexis and Serena went on stage to perform a choreographed dance for guests.
While the music and performances are enough for any fan to get FOMO, Lisa also revealed to E! News that Alexis was able to bring in a carousel to the event around 1:30 a.m. In fact, guests including Beyoncé couldn’t help but hop on for a ride.
Jordan has been at the front of the pack week after week with multiple perfect scores under his belt, and he’s definitely a frontrunner to win the mirrorball trophy on Tuesday.
He managed to dance with the injury last week while Lindsay wore a knee brace to keep her own injury in check, but they admitted to us after the show that it was their hardest day of competition so far.
“We really had to rely on each other throughout this,” Lindsay told us. “For me as a pro, usually I’m the one who can be the shoulder to lean on. I needed Jordan today as much as he needed me. I feel like that’s how we were able to get through this incredibly insane day.”
The final five may be turning into the fractured five.
Earlier today, Aly Raisman took to social media and shared a message about supporting women who could be victims of sexual abuse.
“Just to be clear…Just because a woman does a sexy photoshoot or wears a sexy outfit does not give a man the right to shame her or not believe her when she comes forward about sexual abuse. What is wrong with some of you? AND when a woman dresses sexy it does not give a man the right to sexually abuse her EVER,” she wrote on Twitter. “Women are allowed to feel sexy and comfortable in their own skin, in fact I encourage you all to wear what you feel good in. I will not put up with any woman or girl being shamed for wanting to wear a skirt, dress, etc. I do not tolerate it. Are we clear?”
Aly concluded, “Oh and one more thing. STOP VICTIM SHAMING. It is because of you that so many survivors live in fear.”
Team USA Gymnast Gabby Douglas decided to weigh in on the conversation. Her response, however, may surprise some.

One Twitter user is dissing The Cheesecake Factory and people are living for it.
The Twitter user who goes by @MaxKriegerVg, tore into the popular chain’s aesthetic in a long thread that has been retweeted over 8,000 times in the last 24 hours.
While most people are not likely to notice the architecture of the restaurant, this diner took a keen interest in the “aesthetic chaos that feels like a mix between a Fry’s Electronics, an overgrown Panera, and a laser tag arena.”
Now that’s a whole lot of Ross for one evening, but we’re not complaining! The celeb also opened up about some of the fashion tips she’s picked up over the years from her mom—who is known for her iconic diva style.
“I grew up thinking a sparkly dress is the way to go. Big hair—the way to go. Good smile—the way to go,” said Tracee. “I think I learned by example and also by—like most young girls—going into my mom’s closet and stealing sh*t.”
If these style tips are any indication of what we can expect to see the Ross rocking on Sunday at L.A’s Microsoft Theater, this is going to be one over-the-top night!
Ryan Seacrest has disputed misconduct claims brought against him.
In a statement obtained by E! News, the daytime talk show host responds to an alleged incident a former wardrobe stylist says occurred while she was employed at E! News almost 10 years ago.
“Recently, someone that worked as a wardrobe stylist for me nearly a decade ago at E! News, came forward with a complaint suggesting I behaved inappropriately toward her. If I made her feel anything but respected, I am truly sorry. I dispute these reckless allegations and I plan to cooperate with any corporate inquiries that may result,” Seacrest said.
An E! Spokesperson confirms in a statement, “We can confirm that we have started an investigation.”
Billy Ray continued, “I sweat through four layers of clothes and Liam’s t-shirt was the last thing I had left. So I’ve got to finish this show, fly back home and go put it in his closet so he doesn’t know it’s gone.”
Fashion aside, the singer’s personal story is just more proof that the Cyrus family has a great relationship with Liam. In fact, Billy Ray’s wife recently shared how much she adores the actor.
“I will say I love Liam. I’ve known him forever,” Tish Cyrus previously shared with E! News. “Absolutely cannot be more obsessed.”
“Of course I want to have grandchildren. The minute I married Frank, I became an instant grandmother. He was already a grandfather so I know what it’s like to have those little ones around,” she shared with us. “We have babies around. I don’t want my children to marry until they’re ready to, until they find the right person for them and then have a child that they’re ready for. All in God’s timing, not mine.”
What she would like this Thanksgiving isn’t an expensive present or gift. Instead, it’s the hope that people across the country will say thank you.
“Why is everybody dying?”
Those aren’t exactly the sort of words you want to hear anyone shout in a hospital’s emergency room, and yet, those where the exact words shouted at the start of the Grey’s Anatomy fall finale when everything went nuts and the hospital’s entire computer system was hijacked by some terrifying hackers looking to make a massive payday.
What did they want? Only 5,000 bitcoin. Only problem? That’s about $20 million dollars. Maybe Jackson (Jesse Williams) could write that check, but he was too busy wiping blood off his and Maggie’s (Kelly McCreary) faces in a helicopter to answer Bailey’s (Chandra Wilson) call as she defied FBI orders.
On Wednesday evening, the couple enjoyed a star-studded rehearsal dinner at Emeril Lagasse‘s Meril restaurant. A source tells E! And the insider also shares that Cafe Du Monde provided their famous beignets for dessert.
Before the rehearsal dinner Wednesday, Williams’ Galia Lahav wedding gown was spotted arriving to her in New Orleans along with a masseuse and nail polishes. On Thursday before the ceremony, flowers and alcohol were spotted arriving at the venue.
Sylvester Stallone is denying allegations made from a 16-year-old girl who claimed the actor and his bodyguard sexually assaulted her in 1986.
“This is a ridiculous, categorically false story,” Michelle Bega, a spokesperson for the Rocky star, said in a statement to E! News. “No one was ever aware of this story until it was published today, including Mr. Stallone. At no time was Mr. Stallone ever contacted by any authorities or anyone else regarding this matter.”
The story, first published Thursday morning on DailyMail.com, featured a redacted copy of a purported 1986 Las Vegas police report titled “possible sexual assault.”
According to the news outlet, an unnamed teenager disclosed to authorities that she had allegedly been “intimidated” into having sex with Sylvester and his bodyguard at the former Las Vegas Hilton Hotel one evening.
